Male or female participants aged 18 to 65 years; body weight \\>=50 kg for males and \\>=45 kg for females; body mass index (BMI) 18.5 to 28.0 kg\u002Fm2, inclusive.\n2. Clinically diagnosed tinea pedis, with lesions located in the interdigital area and possibly involving the sole and lateral foot.\n3. Positive mycological test of the target foot at screening, based on fungal microscopy.\n4. Target-foot clinical signs and symptoms score \\>=3.\n5. In generally good health, with no serious or uncontrolled systemic disease, and considered by the investigator to be suitable for participation.\n6. The participant or the participant's partner is not pregnant or breastfeeding, and the participant agrees to use reliable contraception throughout the study and for 3 months after the last administration.\n7. Willing and able to comply with scheduled visits and protocol requirements, and able to understand and sign the informed consent form.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n1. Hyperkeratotic tinea pedis, or tinea pedis accompanied by erosion, exudation, or ulceration.\n2. Concomitant onychomycosis of the feet or other active fungal disease.\n3. Bacterial or viral skin infection of the feet, or severe skin disease judged by the investigator to affect study assessments, such as severe eczema, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, or chronic dermatitis.\n4. History of dermatophyte infection that was ineffective to prior antifungal therapy.\n5. Use of systemic antifungal drugs within 3 months before enrollment.\n6. Use of topical antifungal drugs, such as terbinafine cream, butenafine cream, ciclopirox, clotrimazole, or miconazole, or topical corticosteroid-containing drugs within 4 weeks before enrollment.\n7. Use of topical antibacterial drugs, disinfectants, keratolytic agents such as salicylic acid, or other topical treatment on the feet within 2 weeks before enrollment.\n8. Use of oral antihistamines within 1 week before enrollment.\n9. Use of systemic corticosteroids or immunosuppressive drugs within 4 weeks before enrollment.\n10. Serious or uncontrolled cardiovascular, hepatic, renal, neurological, psychiatric, or immune system disease.\n11. History of diabetes mellitus or fasting blood glucose above the upper limit of normal.\n12. Clinically significant abnormalities in physical examination, hematology, blood chemistry, urinalysis, 12-lead electrocardiogram, infectious disease screening, coagulation function, or other assessments.\n13. Currently participating in another clinical trial, or participation in another clinical trial within 30 days before the baseline visit or within 5 half-lives of the investigational product, whichever is longer.\n14. Institutional Ethical committee permission will be obtained and clinical trial registration number (CTN) will be obtained for the study. Written consent will obtained from all the participants of the study.\n\nAll the diagnosed patients of Tinea Pedis who will meet the selection criteria will be enrolled and will be educated regarding the study. Participants will be randomly allocated in into two groups utilizing envelop method; patients of Group-A will use topical Sertaconazole 2% and patients in Group-B will use Clotrimazole 1%.\n\nRandomization: Random number sequence will be generated on computer by a simple randomization schedule. Each randomization number will be sealed in an opaque envelope with a serial number on it. The patient with a known serial number opened the corresponding envelope to be informed of the assignment.\n\nTreatment: After cleaning the identified lesions, the patients will topically self-apply the both products\u002Fcreams using a cotton swab applicator, where the applied amount will be able to make the lesions be covered with a thin layer of medication. Both the creams will be applied topically twice daily for 4 weeks.\n\nPatients will be followed up weekly for clinical improvement and side-effects of therapy upto 4 weeks of the treatment. At final follow up (after 4 week of treatment), the patients will be evaluated by all clinical investigations and microscopic examination (10% potassium hydroxide) of a skin scraping from site of the lesion. Adverse effects of the drugs among all patients will also be recorded. The photograph of the lesions taken before treatment and at the end of the study will be used for assessing the clinical improvement of the cases.\n\nDetailed questionnaires will be followed regarding demographic and clinical characteristics like age, BMI, symptoms and co morbidities etc. Proper selection criteria will be used to control any biasness. Efficacy will be reported as per operational definition. In case of, topical therapy will be terminated and the concerned patient will be switched over to an oral antifungal drug at the discretion of the dermatologist.
