It focuses on the predictability and extent of orthodontic tooth movements, the impact on temporomandibular joint position and function, and the quality and long-term stability of the restored bite.\n\nParticipants will receive minimally invasive bonded restorations combined with simple orthodontic mechanics. The study will evaluate changes in tooth position, bite contacts, facial vertical height, and temporomandibular joint function using digital scans, low-dose 3D imaging, jaw-tracking, and clinical examinations. Patient comfort, function, and satisfaction will also be assessed through questionnaires.\n\nThe goal is to better understand how this conservative treatment performs over time.",[27,28],"Tooth Wear","Orthodontic Extrusion",[30,31,32,33],"Localized tooth wear","Orthodontic tooth movement","Minimally invasive dentistry","PICN restorations","RECRUITING","2026-04-14",{"date":37,"type":38},"2026-04-16","ACTUAL",{"date":40,"type":21},"2026-04",{"date":42,"type":21},"2041-02-24",{"name":44,"class":45},"Mainjot Amélie","OTHER",1,{"id":48,"slug":49,"hasResults":11,"nctId":50,"briefTitle":51,"officialTitle":52,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":53,"healthyVolunteers":54,"sex":17,"minAge":55,"maxAge":56,"enrollmentInfo":57,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":59,"phases":4,"briefSummary":60,"conditions":61,"keywords":64,"overallStatus":70,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":71,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":72,"startDateStruct":74,"completionDateStruct":76,"leadSponsor":78,"locationsCount":4},"100567208","prevalence-of-tooth-wear-and-its-association-with-oral-health-related-quality-of-life-100567208","NCT06665191","Prevalence of Tooth Wear and Its Association with Oral Health-related Quality of Life","Prevalence of Tooth Wear, Predictive Risk Factors and Its Association with Oral Health-related Quality of Life Among Middle -aged Adult Patients Attending Dental Educational Hospital At Cairo University: Cross-sectional Study","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* 1- Patients whose age between 31 to 45 years old. 2- Egyptian 3- Males \\& Females 4- Provide informed consent 5- Ability to comprehend asked questions\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* 1- Patients under or over the selected age group 2- Patients using fixed orthodontic appliances, 3- Patients with special needs",true,"31 Years","45 Years",{"count":58,"type":21},1011,"OBSERVATIONAL","The aim of this study is to detect the prevalence of tooth wear (All forms of cumulative surface loss of mineralized tooth substance loss due to physical and chemico-mechanical process according to the definition of the European Organization for Caries Research (ORCA) and the International Cariology Research Group for Dental Research (IADR) i.e.: attrition, erosion and abrasion) among middle aged adult patients attending educational hospital at the Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University and to analyze the distribution of lesions by gender and age, frequency of acidic foods and drinks consumption, medicine usage, chewing habits, systemic diseases, tooth brushing habits, and family socio economic status. Moreover, to evaluate the quality of life among middle aged elderly patients in relation to existence of tooth wear.\n\nThe study focuses on middle-aged adult patients (31-45 years) attending the Faculty of Dentistry at Cairo University during 2025-2026. It is an analytical cross-sectional study aimed at assessing the prevalence and risk level of tooth wear using the Basic Erosive Wear Examination Index (BEWE). The BEWE categorizes tooth wear into four levels (0 = no wear, 3 = severe wear), and risk levels are determined by the cumulative score.\n\nPrimary outcome: the prevalence of tooth wear and associated risk levels. Secondary outcomes: identifying predictive risk factors and assessing the Oral Health Impact Profile (OHIP) for patients diagnosed with tooth wear. All participants will be examined, and those with a BEWE score above 0 will be considered affected. Risk levels will be stratified as no risk, low, medium, or high.",[27,62,63],"Attrition","Erosion",[65,66,67,68,69],"Tooth wear","attrition","BEWE","Basic erosive wear examination","quality of life","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2024-10-28",{"date":73,"type":38},"2024-10-30",{"date":75,"type":21},"2026-02",{"date":77,"type":21},"2026-11",{"name":79,"class":45},"Cairo University",{"id":81,"slug":82,"hasResults":11,"nctId":83,"briefTitle":84,"officialTitle":85,"acronym":86,"eligibilityCriteria":87,"healthyVolunteers":54,"sex":17,"minAge":18,"maxAge":88,"enrollmentInfo":89,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":59,"phases":4,"briefSummary":91,"conditions":92,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":70,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":93,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":94,"startDateStruct":96,"completionDateStruct":98,"leadSponsor":100,"locationsCount":46},"100500047","stress-and-tooth-structure-loss-in-dental-students-100500047","NCT05791175","Stress and Tooth Structure Loss in Dental Students.","Stress and Tooth Structure Loss in Dental Students.
