The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of endoscopically-guided injection of Exparel (Bupivacaine) for the treatment of craniofacial pain. This study would be conducted in a prospective, randomized, double-blinded, placebo- controlled, and cross-over fashion. We aim to investigate whether the administration of Exparel (Bupivacaine) to the lateral nasal wall may positively impact craniofacial pain and functional outcomes, in patients who experience relief with the topical application of Lidocaine (routinely given prior to almost all ENT endoscopy).",[27,28,29,30,31,32],"Craniofacial Pain","Migraine","Cluster Headache","Trigeminal Autonomic Cephalgia","Sphenopalatine Ganglion Neuralgia","Paroxysmal Hemicrania","RECRUITING","2026-04-23",{"date":36,"type":37},"2026-04-27","ACTUAL",{"date":39,"type":37},"2023-02-01",{"date":41,"type":21},"2030-06",{"name":43,"class":44},"Stanford University","OTHER",1,{"id":47,"slug":48,"hasResults":11,"nctId":49,"briefTitle":50,"officialTitle":51,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":52,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":53,"enrollmentInfo":54,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":56,"briefSummary":58,"conditions":59,"keywords":60,"overallStatus":33,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":62,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":63,"startDateStruct":65,"completionDateStruct":67,"leadSponsor":69,"locationsCount":45},"100434429","occipital-nerve-stimulation-in-trigeminal-autonomic-cephalgias-100434429","NCT04937010","Occipital Nerve Stimulation in Trigeminal Autonomic Cephalgias","Efficacy and Safety of Occipital Nerve Stimulation in Trigeminal Autonomic Cephalalgias: A Double-blind, Phase II, Randomized, Controlled Trial","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Meets ICHD-3 diagnostic criteria for the chronic form of one of the trigeminal autonomic cephalgias (outlined below), as determined by the treating neurologist.\n* Failed standard medical management, meaning at least 3 conventional preventative therapies.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Presence of uncontrolled or untreated psychiatric disease\n* Presence of medical contraindications to surgery\n* Patient does not consent to surgery\n* Non-English speaking","100 Years",{"count":55,"type":21},20,[57],"NA","The objective of this study is to determine the efficacy of occipital nerve stimulation (ONS) in the treatment of chronic trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias (TACs).",[30],[61],"Occipital Nerve Stimulation","2024-08-06",{"date":64,"type":37},"2024-08-07",{"date":66,"type":37},"2022-02-01",{"date":68,"type":21},"2026-09-01",{"name":70,"class":44},"Alberta Health Services, Calgary"]
