Although open pyeloplasty is an effective standard treatment, the degree of postoperative renal functional recovery varies between patients.\n\nThis prospective observational cohort study will evaluate whether renal cortical shear wave elastography can predict renal functional recovery after open pyeloplasty in children with unilateral primary ureteropelvic junction obstruction. Renal cortical shear wave elastography will be assessed before surgery and during follow-up, and the change in elastography values will be compared with renal isotope findings after surgery.\n\nThe primary objective is to evaluate the predictive value of the change in renal cortical shear wave elastography from baseline to 3 months after surgery for isotope-defined renal functional recovery at 6 months after open pyeloplasty.",[26,27],"Ureteropelvic Junction Obstruction","Renal Functional Recovery",[29,30,31,32,33],"Pediatric UPJO","Open pyeloplasty","Shear wave elastography","Renal cortical stiffness","Ureteropelvic junction obstruction","RECRUITING","2026-05-28",{"date":37,"type":38},"2026-06-03","ACTUAL",{"date":40,"type":38},"2026-05-06",{"date":42,"type":22},"2027-05",{"name":44,"class":45},"Beni-Suef University","OTHER",1,{"id":48,"slug":49,"hasResults":11,"nctId":50,"briefTitle":51,"officialTitle":52,"acronym":53,"eligibilityCriteria":54,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":55,"maxAge":56,"enrollmentInfo":57,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":23,"phases":4,"briefSummary":59,"conditions":60,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":34,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":64,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":65,"startDateStruct":67,"completionDateStruct":69,"leadSponsor":71,"locationsCount":46},"100586926","ultrasound-localization-microscopy-in-patient-with-congenital-anomalies-of-the-kidney-and-urinary-tract-cakut-100586926","NCT06921733","Ultrasound Localization Microscopy in Patient With Congenital Anomalies of the Kidney and Urinary Tract (CAKUT)","Non-invasive Evaluation of Kidneys in Patient With Congenital Anomalies of the Kidney and Urinary Tract (CAKUT) Using Ultrasound Localization Microscopy","Search_CAKUT","Inclusion Criteria:\n\nMinimum Age 1 Month Maximum Age 6 Years Indication for MAG3 Scintigraphy of the Kidney Congenital Anomalies of the Kidney and Urinary Tract Obstruction Diagnosis Availability of the qualified examiner Consent of the parents\u002Flegal guardians\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\nLack of consent of at least one parent","0 Months","6 Years",{"count":58,"type":22},20,"This clinical study aims to non-invasively visualize perfusion and microvascularization, as well as individual glomeruli, using Ultrasound Localization Microscopy (ULM) and CEUS in patients with congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract (CAKUT).",[61,62,26,63],"Congenital Anomalies of Kidney and Urinary Tract","Lower Urinary Tract Obstruction, Congenital","Hydronephrosis Congenital","2025-09-16",{"date":66,"type":38},"2025-09-17",{"date":68,"type":38},"2025-05-13",{"date":70,"type":22},"2027-12-01",{"name":72,"class":45},"University of Erlangen-Nürnberg Medical School",{"id":74,"slug":75,"hasResults":11,"nctId":76,"briefTitle":77,"officialTitle":78,"acronym":79,"eligibilityCriteria":80,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":81,"maxAge":82,"enrollmentInfo":83,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":23,"phases":4,"briefSummary":85,"conditions":86,"keywords":88,"overallStatus":34,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":93,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":94,"startDateStruct":96,"completionDateStruct":98,"leadSponsor":100,"locationsCount":102},"100545463","the-pro-future-project-100545463","NCT06382233","The PRO-FUTURE Project","PRecocious biOmarkers oF Unilateral ureTero-pelvic jUnction obstRuction in childrEn","PRO-FUTURE","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* unilateral UPJO\n* 0-5years of age\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* bilateral UPJO\n* previous surgical intervention on the urinary tract\n* bladder or lower urinary tract symptoms or malformations\n* nephro- or urolithiasis, vesicoureteral reflux\n* urinary tract infections.","1 Day","5 Years",{"count":84,"type":22},85,"The goal of this observational study is to learn about specific biomarkers of unilateral ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO) in children undergoing surgical intervention for unilateral UPJO compared with controls.
