Assessment of Medrol Dosepak to Reduce Opioid Consumption in Foot and Ankle Surgical Patients

This clinical trial aims to determine the effects of a 6-day low-dose methylprednisolone course on pain, nausea, and total opioid consumption in patients undergoing foot and ankle surgeries. The secondary objective of the study is to determine and monitor the effects of the course on complications following surgery and patient-reported outcomes

Postoperative Complications of Ankle Arthroscopy

The goal of this clinical trial is to describe complications that occurred in the year following surgery, based on follow-up surgical consultations and physical therapy sessions. The target population is any adult patient who has undergone ankle surgery performed under arthroscopy. Primary outcome is description of all complications occurring within one year following ankle arthroscopy. This description will be based on clinical and functional examinations performed by surgeons and physical therapists. Participants will be regularly monitored by the surgeon and physical therapist (15 days postoperative, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year). They will complete self-assessment questionnaires and undergo functional physical therapy tests, including ALR RSI, FAAM AVQ, FAAM Sport, CAIT, and Ankle Go.

Auditory Biofeedback Gait Training Individuals With Chronic Ankle Instability

The goal of this randomized clinical controlled trial is examine the effects of gait training with auditory biofeedback (AudFB) on gait biomechanics, clinical measures of ankle joint health, and patient-centered outcomes. The following specific aims will achieve this objective: * Specific Aim 1: Determine if a 6-week gait training with AudFB intervention improves lower extremity biomechanics compared to a Control condition in participants with CAI. * Specific Aim 2: Determine if a 6-week gait training with AudFB reduces talar cartilage deformation compared to a Control condition in participants with CAI. * Specific Aim 3: Determine if a 6-week gait training with AudFB reduces episodes of ankle giving-way and reduces self-perceived severity of symptoms relative to a Control condition in participants with CAI. Participants will: * Complete 12 intervention sessions over a 6-week period of walking, ruck marching, and runninig. * Complete testing sessions before and after the intervention, then after 6 and 12-months following the intervention.

The Effect of Taping on Plantar Pressure Distribution in Players With Chronic Ankle Instability

The goal of this study is to investigate whether there exists a difference in baropdometric readings of plantar pressure between individuals with chronic ankle instability and normal health individuals, in addition another goal of this study is to investigate the effect of rigid taping vs. kinesio taping on plantar pressure distribution as well as stability markers in individuals with chronic ankle instability. The main questions aimed to answer are: 1. Is there a difference in plantar pressure distribution between individuals with chronic ankle instability and individuals without chronic ankle instability? 2. What effect do rigid and kinesio taping have on plantar pressure distribution and ankle stability markers? 3. Which tape affects plantar pressure distribution and ankle stability better? Participants will: Firstly be divided into two macro groups, one with chronic ankle instability and one without, with an observational part of the study to be carried out to investigate the differences in plantar pressure between both groups. Secondly, the group with chronic ankle instability will be divided into two micro groups one receiving rigid taping and the other receiving kinesio taping, and the immediate effects of these tapes in terms of plantar pressure and ankle stability will be recorded and compared before and after within groups, and after between both groups.
