Effectiveness of the Group Unified Protocol for Emotional Disorders in Adults in a Public Mental Health Setting

This study has three primary objectives: 1. To adapt the Spanish version of the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders (UP; Barlow et al., 2011, 2019a, 2019b) for delivery in a group format within the Spanish Public Mental Health System for adults diagnosed with emotional disorders. 2. To evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention. 3. To assess its clinical feasibility and acceptability in routine clinical practice. Outcomes will include anxiety, depression, somatic symptoms, transdiagnostic variables, functional impairment, quality of life, and participant satisfaction. These outcomes will be assessed at baseline, post-treatment, and 3-month follow-up. The intervention is expected to improve emotional symptoms, functional impairment, and quality of life. In addition, the study will explore whether this group-based transdiagnostic approach may help lower demand on public mental health services.

Reward Processing and Exposure Therapy for Social Anxiety Disorder

The investigators are conducting a clinical trial of therapy for public speaking anxiety. There are many eligibility criteria, but the main ones are that participants need to be socially anxious and have public speaking anxiety. In this clinical trial, all participants will do exposure therapy. Before doing exposure therapy in the study, though, participants will be randomized to do one of two treatments: i) a positive mood treatment, which is designed to increase how positive people feel, and ii) a relaxation treatment, which is designed to help people feel more relaxed. The investigators are doing this study to see whether doing the positive mood treatment or relaxation treatment first will affect how well exposure therapy works.

Digital Interventions for Relapse Prevention in Adolescence

Some adolescents experience periods of anxiety and/or depression, and some find that these periods return over time. The purpose of this study is to examine whether digital interventions-where individuals work systematically with their own thoughts and feelings during periods when they feel well-can help them maintain well-being for longer. The study includes adolescents aged 16-19 who have previously experienced episodes of depression and/or anxiety to a degree that led them to seek help (e.g., from a school nurse, general practitioner, health clinic, or child and adolescent mental health service). Through a research app on their smartphones, participants complete tasks and answer questionnaires. The study is fully digital. Some participants meet with a therapist in digital group sessions, while others work independently with the digital content. We will also examine the cost-benefit aspects of offering such interventions. If the study achieves its goals, digital interventions may eventually become a service offered to adolescents recovering from depression and anxiety.

Internet-Delivered Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Youths With Anxiety Disorders

The goal of this study is to develop a new internet-delivered cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT) intervention for youths with anxiety disorders based on the best current knowledge about effective cognitive behavioral therapy for the target group, refine the intervention in collaboration with patient and public representatives, and conduct a preliminary evaluation of the treatment effects in an open clinical trial. The primary objective of the study is: 1\. To evaluate the preliminary efficacy of a newly developed ICBT intervention for children and adolescents with anxiety disorders in reducing anxiety severity, as measured by the Pediatric Anxiety Rating Scale (PARS). Secondary objectives of the study are: 1. To examine the preliminary efficacy (PARS) of the ICBT intervention at 3 months post-treatment. 2. To examine how youths with anxiety disorders, their caregivers, therapists, and healthcare leadership experience the ICBT intervention. 3. To examine factors (e.g., age, type of anxiety disorder, presence of depressive symptoms, experiences of ICBT) that predict treatment outcome. 4. To examine how the ICBT intervention can be improved (e.g., treatment content and technical delivery) for future use. Participants will: * Undergo ICBT treatment for anxiety disorders during 12 weeks * Complete questionnaires at multiple time points throughout the study * Participate in follow-ups post-treatment and 3 months post-treatment * A selection of participants will also be invited to focus group interviews with the aim to generate ideas on how the intervention may be improved for future use
