Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness Training in Visually Impaired Women

This quasi-experimental study aims to determine whether a breast and cervical cancer awareness training program can increase participation in cancer screening among women with visual impairments. The study also aims to identify barriers to screening and improve knowledge about cancer risk factors and screening methods. The main questions this study will address are: * Does the training increase the rate at which women with visual impairments attend cancer screening appointments? * Does the training improve participants' knowledge about breast and cervical cancer? Participants will: * Receive training on breast and cervical cancer risk factors and screening methods. * Learn how to apply to the Cancer Early Diagnosis, Screening, and Training Center. * Be encouraged to attend cancer screening during the study period. * Have knowledge and screening status assessed before the training, immediately after, and three months later.

Child Abuse and Neglect Awareness Training in Nursing Students

This randomized controlled study aims to evaluate the effect of a child abuse and neglect awareness training program on the knowledge and awareness levels of nursing students. Child abuse and neglect remain significant global public health issues, and healthcare professionals, particularly nurses, play a key role in early recognition and intervention. The study will be conducted among undergraduate nursing students at a university in Istanbul, Turkey. Participants will be randomly assigned to either an experimental group or a control group. Both groups will complete a pre-test to assess baseline knowledge levels. The experimental group will receive a structured training program on child abuse and neglect delivered by an expert nurse working at a Child Advocacy Center under the Ministry of Health, while the control group will not receive any intervention during the study period. One month after the intervention, both groups will complete a post-test to assess changes in knowledge and awareness levels. The primary outcome of the study is the difference in awareness test scores between the pre-test and post-test. The findings are expected to contribute to improving educational strategies and enhancing the competencies of future nurses in recognizing and managing child abuse and neglect cases.

The ED-AWARENESS-2 Trial

The investigators will screen all mechanically ventilated ED patients for study eligibility and will enroll all consecutive patients satisfying inclusion and exclusion criteria. The study design is a pragmatic, multicenter, stepped wedge cluster randomized trial, enrolling at five sites over a 3-year period, divided into six time periods of six months. Prior to the study, each site will be randomized to their position within the design. One site will cross to the intervention period (i.e. succinylcholine as default neuromuscular blocker) every six months from the 2nd to 6th time period. Cluster order will be determined by computer-based randomization. To begin, each site will be exposed to control conditions; by the end of the study, each site will be exposed to intervention conditions. Patients in the control phase will receive usual care, and this phase will be entirely observational. After six months, a site will enter a 2-month transition phase. In this phase, the investigators will implement the intervention, similar to how they have implemented other ED-based interventions for mechanically ventilated patients. The investigators will engage and educate ED clinicians on the importance of AWP prevention and the study objectives. The intervention framework relies on the use of "nudges", without restricting choice. The use of neuromuscular blockers (i.e. "paralytic" medications) is already part of routine care in the ED in order to facilitate endotracheal intubation and initiation of mechanical ventilation for patients with acute respiratory failure. The two most common neuromuscular blockers used in the ED are succinylcholine and rocuronium. The preliminary data show a strong association between rocuronium (a longer-acting neuromuscular blocker) use and AWP. Therefore, this study aims to improve care by educating caregivers on AWP and the use of the neuromuscular blockers, which are already routinely used, and studying that process in a rigorous fashion. The default neuromuscular blocker in the intervention phase will be succinylcholine. Succinylcholine will be the default over rocuronium because: 1) it has safely been the default neuromuscular blocker of choice in the ED for \>40 years ; 2) its 5-minute duration of action greatly reduces AWP risk; 3) the preliminary data regarding an increased risk of AWP with rocuronium and 4) ED rocuronium use has increased despite no patient-centered studies showing benefit over succinylcholine. Passive alerts (i.e. graphics, pocket cards) will also be strategically placed in the ED, and active alerts will be used as reminders before every nursing shift (i.e. "the huddle"). After this transition phase, the site will begin the intervention phase, and patients will again receive clinician-directed care, just after the intervention.

Mat Pilates on Body Awareness and Physical Activity Levels in Sedentary Emerging Adulthood Women

This study investigating the effects of mat pilates on body awareness and physical activity levels in sedentary women transitioning to adulthood, 27 control groups and 27 mat pilates exercise groups will be included. The groups will be compared at the end of an 8-week exercise program. Participants' socio-demographic characteristics, body awareness (using the Body Awareness Questionnaire), and physical activity level (using the Tegner Physical Activity Questionnaire and the International Physical Activity Questionnaire short-form scales) will be assessed.

Impact of Attentional Tunelling on a Population of French Practitioners

The tunnel effect, also known as attentional tunnelling, is a cognitive bias affecting all healthcare professionals, including odontologists. It is characterised by an excessive focus on a specific element of a clinical situation, which can alter the overall assessment and lead to errors in medical practice. This poses a particular risk to the quality of dental care, especially surgical care. Despite the importance of this risk, few studies have addressed this issue in dentistry. Therefore, raising the dental community's awareness of this phenomenon on a large scale is both justified and necessary.

The Effect of"Green Future With Midwife Hands"Climate Change Animation on Mothers' Climate Change Awareness and Behavior

The Effect of "Green Future with Midwife Hands" Climate Change Animation on Mothers' Climate Change Awareness and Behavior Climate change appears as one of the most important environmental problems of today. Many negative effects such as the increase in greenhouse gas emissions, global warming, sea level rise and the frequency of extreme weather events threaten both natural ecosystems and human life. In this context, it is of great importance for individuals to gain awareness about climate change and exhibit environmentally friendly behavior for a sustainable future. In particular, mothers and expectant mothers have the potential to create significant awareness and change by choosing products that do not harm the environment, while looking for the best for their babies. Reducing plastic use, choosing organic textile products, using biodegradable wet wipes and choosing toys made from natural materials both protect babies' health and support environmental sustainability. This awareness reinforces the environmentally friendly behavior of mothers and helps future generations grow up as more conscious individuals. The role of mothers in this regard is undeniably great for a sustainable future. While mothers making environmentally friendly choices increases the environmental awareness of not only their own families but also the wider masses, being careful when choosing carbon footprint baby products both protects the health of babies and reduces environmental impacts. This research aims to encourage mothers and expectant mothers to make environmentally friendly and carbon footprint-reducing choices when choosing baby products by increasing the climate change awareness of mothers and expectant mothers through the "Green Future with Midwife Hands" Climate Change Animation.
