Colorectal Adenomatous Polyp

This study aims to develop a highly sensitive, specific, and cost-effective blood assay for early detection of colorectal adenomas and cancer, using advanced machine learning and state-of-the-art biological analyses.

The purpose of this phase I trial is to test the safety and cancer preventive effects of different doses of ONC201 in people with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) or a history of multiple polyps. People with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) or a history of multiple polyps are at higher than average risk of developing colorectal cancer. ONC201, now known as dordaviprone, is a drug that may stop cancer cells from growing. This drug has been shown in previous studies to cause cancer cell death but not harm normal cells. If successful, this study may help us develop a new option for colorectal cancer prevention.

The study involves the planned use of a new microwave-based device during colonoscopy procedures in 50 patients to assess the performance and safety of its use for detection of colorectal polyps and lack of normal clinical practice modification. The device is a final design version, which has been previously tested in several preclinical studies (including phantom studies, an ex vivo study with human tissues, and an in vivo study with porcine model) and in a pilot study in humans (NCT05477836)

This is a prospective, single arm, multi-center clinical investigation aim to demonstrate the efficacy of Gixam in predicting the presence of premalignant colorectal polyps and colorectal cancer (CRC) in a fecal immunochemical test (FIT) positive population.
