Embolosclerotherapy Versus Deep Dorsal Vein Revascularization in Venogenic Erectile Dysfunction

Venous leakage is one of the causes of erectile dysfunction and can be managed using different treatment modalities, including surgical ligation and percutaneous embolization. This randomized clinical trial aims to evaluate and compare the efficacy, durability, safety, side effects, and complications of two treatment procedures-embolosclerotherapy of the periprostatic plexus and deep dorsal vein revascularization-in the management of erectile dysfunction caused by venous leak.

IPP Placement & Intracavernosal Block

The inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) is the gold standard for surgical management of erectile dysfunction (ED) and there is no consensus on the best postoperative pain management regimen. In the wake of the opioid epidemic, postoperative pain management is heavily scrutinized. The National Institute of Health estimated over 81,000 individuals died following overdose of any opioids in 2022 alone; of these, over 14,000 deaths were linked to prescription opioids. Thus, strategies to minimize postoperative pain should not only improve patient experience but also lessen the need to escalate to opioid usage.

A Single-Arm, Dose Escalation of an Intraurethral Alprostadil Paste for Erectile Dysfunction

This is a single arm dose escalation trial of a mucoadhesive intraurethral polymer suspension of alprostadil (ST-04) and will investigate the efficacy of 3 dose levels of ST-04 in adult males with a clinical diagnosis of Erectile Dysfunction (ED). This study aims to determine if ST-04, with or without sildenafil, will improve erectile function (EF) compared to baseline. Participants in this study will receive ST-04, a new formulation containing the vasodilator, alprostadil which is known to be an effective drug in treating erectile dysfunction. ST-04 will be dispersed along the urethra, forming a hydrogel which adheres to the lining of the urethra with the goal of penile tumescence and erection. Participants may receive up to 3 dose level escalations of ST-04 over a 12-week period, for a total of up to 11 administrations of ST-04. Dose escalation may also be done with and without sildenafil.

The Feasibility of Using Dornier Machine in Patients With Erectile Dysfunction, a Pilot Study.

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) is a well-established modality for treating various urological and musculoskeletal conditions. Recently, its application has expanded to include vasculogenic erectile dysfunction (ED), primarily due to its ability to trigger neo-angiogenesis and significantly improve penile blood flow.
