Mobile App-Based Yoga and Meditation in Rheumatoid Arthritis

The goal of this single-blind, randomized controlled trial is to evaluate the clinical effectiveness and short-term economic impact of a mobile application-based, personalized yoga and meditation program in adult patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). The main questions it aims to answer are: Does an 8-week digital yoga and meditation intervention reduce anxiety and improve other clinical/psychological outcomes (such as depression, pulmonary function, reaction time, quality of life, and stress) compared to standard medical care? Does this digital intervention reduce short-term healthcare utilization and associated direct medical costs? Researchers will compare the Mobile App Group (receiving personalized yoga and meditation via the Meditopia app) to a Control Group (receiving usual medical care) to evaluate the effectiveness and cost-efficiency of the intervention. Participants in the experimental group will: Use a mobile application to practice 15-30 minutes of yoga and 15-30 minutes of meditation daily, at least 4 days a week over an 8-week period. Complete clinical, psychometric, and economic assessments at baseline, week 4, and week 8.

Digitally Enhanced Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy

Adolescent depression is a major public health problem. Depression affects adolescents' emotional well-being now and in the future, and it also affects their physical health, especially the risk for heart disease and other cardiovascular and metabolic health problems. In adolescents with depression and obesity, evidence-based programs for depression, like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), might improve physical health, in part by supporting healthy behaviors such as physical activity, nutritious eating, and getting enough sleep. Our preliminary studies provide support for this overarching hypothesis. If adolescents have access to a digital app to support practicing CBT skills in between program sessions, it might especially help them to learn skills that help to feel better and be healthier in their day-to-day lives. We are tailoring a digital app for this purpose and we will make changes to the app based on feedback from adolescents, their parents, and their doctors. Once the app is well-liked and helpful, and works well as a support for taking part in CBT, we will randomly assign 60 adolescents with depression and overweight/obesity to either "CBT+" - a CBT group program plus the app, or "CBT-only" - the CBT group program only. We will pilot test whether this research is feasible, likeable, and credible, learning information that will inform a larger study to test of CBT+ can support emotional well-being, health behavior, and cardiovascular and metabolic health in adolescents.

Efficiency of the "Medidux" Smartphone App for Demission Management in Patients Medicated in Acute Admission Unit (AAU)

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate whether the use of the medidux™ smartphone app can optimize post-discharge management for patients admitted to Acute Admission Units (AAU) with non-urgent health complaints. This trial includes adult patients (age ≥ 18) in Emergency Severity Index (ESI) triage system groups 4 (standard) or 5 (non-urgent), presenting with primary symptoms such as cough, back pain, or abdominal discomfort. The main question it aims to answer is: Can the medidux™ app reduce the incidence of AAU readmissions, emergency hospitalizations, or consultations with other medical providers within 7 days after initial admission? Researchers will compare participants using the medidux™ app (intervention arm) with those receiving standard care (control arm) to observe potential differences in the rates of readmissions, emergency hospitalizations, and medical consultations. Participants will: * use the medidux™ app to monitor their symptoms and vital parameters for 7 days after discharge (intervention arm). * receive follow-up consultations at day 7 and at day 28 to assess symptom progression and any healthcare interactions (both arms).
