A Kinder Coaching Program With Community Health Workers "READY"

In this study, the investigators compare two novel primary care interventions (School Readiness Checklist vs. Kinder Coaching) for low-income parents, which were co-developed by parent, clinical, and educational stakeholders. This R01 builds evidence on a low touch (low intensity, lower cost intervention) School Readiness Checklist compared to high touch (higher intensity, embedded program) Kinder Coaching with Community Health Workers in a hybrid effectiveness-implementation RCT.

Every Newborn Reach Up Early Education Intervention for All Children Education (ENREACH) Education

The goal of the project is to assess the scale-up of the program, focusing on improving school readiness among preschool children, enhancing capacity building for parents and teachers, and utilizing a cluster randomized controlled trial (cRCT). The primary research questions are to seek answer- * What specific adaptations are necessary for an innovative, disability-inclusive early education training program to become a fully inclusive model that enhances teachers' engagement and practices in pre-primary classrooms in Nepal, Tanzania, and Bangladesh? * How can a new, equitable 'School Readiness Programme for the child-parent-teacher triad' be effectively scaled within national government pre-primary platforms using a cRCT? * How can the outcomes of the 'School Readiness Programme for the child-parent-teacher triad' be implemented in a cost-effective manner by key stakeholders across the three sites? The research will examine an adapted inclusive early education training programme will lead to improved teaching practices, enhanced parental capacity, and better school readiness for all children compared to standard education programme; and b) the child-parent-teacher triad model can be scaled effectively within the government primary education systems.

School Readiness in Preschool-Aged Children With Cerebral Palsy

The goal of this feasibility and proof of concept study is to learn about the feasibility, acceptability, and impact of a school readiness program for preschool-aged children with unilateral cerebral palsy. The main question\[s\] it aims to answer are: 1. Is it feasible to implement an intensive school readiness program for preschool-aged children with UCP? 2. Is the program acceptable to the children and their caregivers? 3. What is the impact of the program on school readiness? Participants will complete two pre-intervention assessments, participate in an intensive, goal directed, school readiness program, and complete 1 post-intervention assessment.

Clinic-Based School Readiness Coaching

The goal of this clinical trial is to examine how a clinic-based school readiness coaching session conducted by a community health worker for parents of 3-5-year-olds affects children's School Readiness (SR) skills and parents early SR knowledge and behaviors. The main questions it aims to answer are: What impact does the clinic-based coaching session have on preschool-aged children's school readiness skills and their parents' confidence in supporting and practicing early math and literacy behaviors at home? Participants will receive a 1-hr coaching session at their pediatric clinic and return after three months for a follow-up session. Researchers will compare pre-and-post child and parent SR outcomes between these two sessions.
