Comparing the Effectiveness of Tensioner Vs Slider Neurodynamic Techniques in Patients With Sciatica

objective of this randomized controlled trial is to examine the efficacy of both tensioner and slider neurodynamic approaches in patients suffering from sciatica. This study seeks to establish which approach is more efficacious in alleviating pain intensity, disability functional, and mobility. The results of this study will assist physical therapists in making an informed decision on the type of neurodynamic therapy for their patients.

SNAG and SNME in Non-Specific Sciatic Pain

This study is designed as a crossover trial. All participants who meet the inclusion criteria and voluntarily agree to participate will be evaluated using the assessment methods detailed below. Subsequently, participants will be randomly assigned into two groups. The first group (Mulligan Concept Group - MCG) will receive the SNAG technique, while the second group (Neural Mobilization Group - NMG) will perform the Sciatic Nerve Mobilization Exercise (SNME). After the intervention, participants will be evaluated a second time. Ten days after this session, participants will be invited back. Those who were in the MCG group during the first session will be re-evaluated and then receive the SNGE intervention. Participants who were in the SNGE group during the first session will be re-evaluated and then receive the SNAG intervention. Following this second intervention, participants will be evaluated once again. Assessments will be done are Demographic Form, Visual Analogue Scale, Oswestry Disability Index, Joint Range of Motion, Five-times Sit-to-stand Test, Sit and Reach Test

Effects of SSMC With and Without Myofascial Release in Patients With Sciatica

Sciatica involves a radiating pain along the sciatic nerve, extending from the lower back through the hips and buttocks to each leg. Typically resulting from a herniated disk or spinal stenosis, this condition causes nerve compression that leads to pain, inflammation, and often numbness in the affected leg. Studies have shown that sensorimotor training with myofascial release can be effective in improving pain, lumbar range of motion and functional disability. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of Sensorimotor control training with and without myofascial releases on Pain, Lumbar range of motion and functional disability due to sciatica. Participants which meet inclusion criteria will be randomly allocated using online randomization tool into two groups. Group A will receive somatosensory control training with Routine Physical Therapy for 45 minutes with short resting interval for Group B will receive Somatosensory training with myofascial release technique for 45min. Each group will receive treatment sessions of 3 days per week for 12 weeks.
