Monitoring Disease Activity in Patients With Takayasu Arteritis With the OMERACT Takayasu Ultrasound Score (OTUS)

This is a multicenter prospective observational study aimed at evaluating the role of an ultrasonographic score in monitoring disease activity in patients with Takayasu arteritis (TAK). Patients with active disease, either at new diagnosis or during relapse, will undergo serial vascular US assessments during follow-up according to routine clinical practice at each participating centers. For each patient, an OMERACT-derived US score (OTUS) will be calculated. This score was developed and preliminarily validated in previous phases of a multistep project endorsed by OMERACT (Outcome Measures in Rheumatology), an international initiative focused on the development and validation of outcome measures in rheumatology. The study hypothesis is that this score is sensitive to change over time and can be used to monitor disease activity and predict outcome in patients with TAK.

Global Initiative on Takayasu Arteritis (GITA)

Takayasu's Arteritis Global Registry aims to bring a large group of patients from different parts of the world to analyse and compare the patients' demographic, clinical, laboratory, radiological and prognostic features with outcomes, approaches to diagnosis, assessment, management and therapeutic interventions in different centers. The present project provides for both a retrospective and a prospective longitudinal study. The study is designed as retrospective for patients already diagnosed with TAK and treated with available treatments. Also, the study is designed as prospective for patients diagnosed with TAK after the initiation of the Registry or the adhesion to the project. This is thought as a multicentre, international study addressed to all Centers that will want to contribute to the present project. The study is non-interventional: demographic, clinical and therapeutic data required over time are collected with the routine diagnostic, clinical and therapeutic procedures usually carried out for the optimal management of patients and according with good clinical practice.

The Efficacy and Safety of Deucravacitinib in Takayasu's Arteritis

This is a 24-week, single-center, randomized, open-label trial conducted by Peking Union Medical College Hospital. The aim of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of deucravacitinib in adult patients with relapsing TAK in comparison to patients treated with TNF inhibitor (TNFi), the most well-recognized therapeutic choice of non-glucocorticoid immunosuppressive for patients with relapsed or refractory TAK.

A Registry Study Assessing PRO, Dosing Patterns, and Safety of Vunakizumab in Patients With General Rheumatic Diseases.

Ankylosing spondylitis, radiographically negative axial spondyloarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, Takayasu arteritis, giant cell arteritis, non-ocular Behcet's disease, and enthesitis-related arthritis are common diseases in rheumatology. Traditional anti-rheumatic drugs are less effective and have greater side effects than biological agents. At present, there has been no large-scale registration study on rheumatic autoimmune diseases such as spondyloarthritis in China. However, data such as patient characteristics, medication patterns, and patient outcome reports of different rheumatology diseases can often serve as a reference for rheumatology clinicians to reasonably select treatment methods for different patients. Therefore, a large-scale registration study is needed to fill the gap in multi-disease registration studies in rheumatology departments in China.
