To develop and validate a structured scoring tool (robotic thyroidectomy assessment score, RTAS) for assessing and quantifying surgical performance in robotic thyroidectomy (RT).

This clinical trial is looking at a combination of drugs called vemurafenib and cobimetinib. Vemurafenib is approved as standard of care for adult patients with unresectable or metastatic melanoma. Cobimetinib is approved as standard of care in combination with vemurafenib for the treatment of adult patients with unresectable or metastatic melanoma. This means it has gone through clinical trials and been approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in the UK. Cobimetinib and vemurafenib work in patients with these types of cancers which have certain changes in the cancer cells called BRAF V600 mutation-positive. Investigators now wish to find out if it will be useful in treating patients with other cancer types which are also BRAF V600 mutation-positive. If the results are positive, the study team will work with the NHS and the Cancer Drugs Fund to see if these drugs can be routinely accessed for patients in the future. This trial is part of a trial programme called DETERMINE. The programme will also look at other anti-cancer drugs in the same way, through matching the drug to rare cancer types or ones with specific mutations.

This study examines the impact of intraoperative recurrent laryngeal nerve monitoring signal changes on the postoperative voice quality of thyroid surgery patients. By analyzing extensive surgical data and postoperative voice recordings, the investigation seeks to identify patterns in the variations of these signals and their correlation with voice quality outcomes. The goal is to enhance clinical understanding and surgical practices, allowing for more precise assessments of nerve function, informed surgical interventions, and improved postoperative patient well-being.

This study aims to investigate the efficacy and prognosis of ultrasound-guided and gene-based microwave ablation (MWA) versus surgical treatment in patients with low-risk papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). By analyzing genetic testing results, the study explores the impact of genetic mutations on treatment selection for low-risk patients, providing more precise molecular biological evidence for treatment choices and prognosis evaluation of thyroid cancer. This prospective study collects clinical data from patients diagnosed with PTC at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University between January 2022 and November 2024, who underwent genetic testing prior to treatment, and assesses efficacy and complications through long-term follow-up.
