Spatiotemporal Evolution of Traditional Chinese Medicine Mechanisms in Acute Ischemic Stroke Treated With Dengzhan Xixin and Dengzhan Shengmai

To integrate large-scale RCT data on clinical symptoms, TCM syndromes, prognosis, and multi-omics profiles, construct a spatiotemporal dynamic network for disease-syndrome evolution of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) in the acute and recovery phases, evaluate the efficacy and safety of sequential treatment with Erigeron breviscapus-Dengzhan Shengmai for AIS, and provide evidence for precise syndrome differentiation and individualized therapy.Secondary Objective:To investigate the optimal time window and key intervention targets of sequential treatment with Erigeron breviscapus-Dengzhan Shengmai for AIS.

Efficacy and Safety of Qibei Jiedu Formula for Preventing and Managing Acute Radiation Dermatitis in Breast Cancer Patients

1. To evaluate the preventive and therapeutic effects of Qibei Jiedu Formula on acute radiation dermatitis in breast cancer patients, including the incidence of grade 2 or higher radiation dermatitis, wound healing time, and symptom relief. 2. To observe the safety profile of Qibei Jiedu Formula. 3. To investigate the potential role of Qibei Jiedu Formula in improving patients' quality of life. 4. To explore the potential mechanism of action of Qibei Jiedu Formula in preventing and treating acute radiation dermatitis in breast cancer patients through exploratory indicators such as inflammatory cytokines and skin microbiota. 5. This study is a small-scale exploratory clinical trial. It aims to collect preliminary efficacy and safety data from 60 participants to assess the "add-on effect" of Qibei Jiedu Formula on top of "standard basic care". The results are intended for estimating effect sizes and generating hypotheses to inform future large-scale studies, not for drawing definitive conclusions.

Research on the Extraction of Tongue and Facial Diagnosis Features of Psoriasis Vulgaris in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Its Correlation With Laboratory Indicators

Psoriasis Vulgaris is a chronic, inflammatory, and immune-activated skin disease. It is the most common type of psoriasis, accounting for approximately 85-90% of all psoriasis patients. Its clinical features include erythema, papules, covered with varying scales, a long course of disease, and recurrent attacks. According to traditional Chinese medicine, psoriasis is mainly characterized by blood heat syndrome, blood stasis syndrome and blood dryness syndrome, accounting for more than 90% of all syndrome types. The TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment of psoriasis also attach great importance to the transformation and evolution of TCM syndrome types. For instance, the three syndrome types of blood heat syndrome, blood stasis syndrome and blood dryness syndrome are not static and can transform into each other. For example, blood heat syndrome can develop into blood dryness syndrome as the disease progresses, blood dryness syndrome can transform into blood stasis syndrome, and blood stasis syndrome can also transform into blood heat syndrome or blood dryness syndrome. Observation is an important diagnostic method in traditional Chinese medicine. The images of tongue and face diagnosis contain a lot of important clinical information. They can objectively reflect the prosperity and decline of qi and blood in the human body, the nature of diseases, the depth of the lesion location, the prognosis of the disease, and can also reflect the physiological and pathological changes of the body. In recent years, significant progress has been made in the research of digital and intelligent technologies for tongue and facial diagnosis. Introducing objective indicators such as tongue diagnosis, facial diagnosis and pulse diagnosis into the evaluation research of diseases has become a hot topic. This project, by analyzing the clinical tongue and facial image data of patients with psoriasis vulgaris and combining it with clinical laboratory indicators, fuses and analyzes the characteristic parameters of patients' tongue and facial diagnosis with blood biochemical indicators, metabolomics and other data. This is helpful to reveal the disease occurrence pattern of patients with blood stasis type psoriasis and construct a diagnostic model for blood stasis syndrome of psoriasis. At the same time, it provides a powerful decision support tool for clinical practice and also helps deepen our understanding of the complex process of the occurrence of blood stasis type psoriasis, thereby providing a solid scientific basis for formulating precise diagnostic and treatment strategies.

Fengliao Changweikang for Diarrhea-predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome: N-of-1 Trial

Irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D) is a functional gastrointestinal disorder, with characteristics of defecation related abdominal pain and diarrhea. Routine treatment strategy for IBS-D is symptom-based with unsatisfactory results, while there is a growing interest in complementary and alternative medicine such as Traditional Chinese Medicine. However, lack of high-quality evidences being the obstacle for its development. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of Fengliao Changweikang Keli (FLCWK) on symptoms and health-related quality of life in mild to moderate IBS-D patients. After 2-week run-in period, each participant will be randomized to a sequence of six 4-week double-blind treatment periods of FLCWK 8 g three times daily or placebo, separated by 2-week washout periods.

Neuropathic Pain and Traditional Medicine Syndromes in Herpes Zoster: a Cross-Sectional Study

This study investigates the relationship between neuropathic pain characteristics and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) syndromes in patients with Herpes Zoster (HZ). The study aims to integrate objective pain assessment tools, such as the Leeds Assessment of Neuropathic Symptoms and Signs (LANSS) scale, with TCM diagnostic classifications to enhance individualized treatment strategies. Conducted at Le Van Thinh Hospital, Vietnam, this cross-sectional study includes 80 HZ patients, assessing their pain levels and corresponding TCM syndromes. The findings will contribute to a more comprehensive approach to pain management in Herpes Zoster.

Traditional Medicine Syndromes in Internal Hemorrhoids: a Cross-Sectional Study

This study aims to investigate the characteristics of Traditional Medicine (TM) syndromes in patients diagnosed with internal hemorrhoids at Le Van Thinh Hospital. Internal hemorrhoids are a common anorectal disorder, and their classification in Traditional Medicine remains inconsistent. The study will examine the prevalence of TM syndromes in patients with internal hemorrhoids and assess the correlation between Goligher's classification and TM diagnoses. The study will follow a cross-sectional observational design with an estimated 178 participants. Eligible patients are 18 years or older, diagnosed with internal hemorrhoids, and willing to participate. The primary outcomes include the prevalence of TM syndromes in internal hemorrhoids, severity classification according to Goligher's scale, and correlation analysis between TM syndromes and clinical severity. The study has received approval from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City and will be conducted from December 2024 to April 2025 at Le Van Thinh Hospital, Vietnam.
