Practice of Assisted Vaginal Birth in Egypt

In Egypt, the proportion of CSs has been steadily increasing in recent years and has reached an alarming level. According to data from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), approximately 6% of caesarean sections (CS) are performed on average because of inadequate supervision from junior staff members or a lack of training, particularly during the critical decision-making phase of this second stage. The unfamiliarity and lack of experience with operative vaginal delivery is a major cause for the rise in the rate of second stage caesarean section. This survey targets obstetricians with different levels of experience to find practical solutions to increase the rate of assisted vaginal delivery which subsequently will decrease the rate of second stage CS.

Evaluation of Laparoscopic Staging Versus Staging Laparotomy for Early Stage Endometrial Cancer

Compared with laparotomy, laparoscopy is associated with faster recovery, better visualization, shorter hospital stays, and less possible adhesion formation. But do the safety, efficacy, and morbidity of laparoscopic staging differ from conventional staging laparotomy in endometrial cancer? Is laparoscopic staging considered a safe and effective alternative procedure for the surgical treatment of early-stage endometrial carcinoma? This study aims to compare the safety, efficacy, and morbidity between total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) with lymphadenectomy and conventional staging laparotomy for early-stage endometrial cancer.

The main question this study aims to answer is: What are the different regimens of magnesium sulphate that are used to prevent seizures in pregnant women with severe pre-eclampsia? Participants already have taken the magnesium sulphate as part of their regular medical care for severe pre-eclampsia. Researchers will look into the records of the participants in the past 5 years to collect the data.
