Fire Needling Plus Filiform Needling for Chronic Migraine With Comorbid Tension-Type Headache

The investigators conducted a multicenter, prospective, randomized controlled clinical study to learn whether fire needling combined with filiform needling applied to pericranial muscle tenderness areas can effectively treat chronic migraine with comorbid tension-type headache. The study will also evaluate the safety and long-term efficacy of this therapy. Its main target questions include: 1. Can fire needling significantly reduce the number of headache days per month? 2. What is the effect of this therapy on headache intensity, emotional symptoms, and quality of life? The investigators will compare "fire needling at pericranial tender points plus conventional filiform needling" versus "conventional filiform needling alone" to verify whether the key technique of fire needling plus conventional filiform needling provides unique additive value. Participants will: 1. Receive treatment twice per week for 8 weeks (either in the experimental group or the control group),attend a follow-up visit at week 24 after enrollment 2. Keep a headache diary (recording headache frequency, pain intensity, duration, associated symptoms, etc.) 3. Regularly complete assessments of emotional status, quality of life, and number of pericranial tender points

Thread Embedding Acupuncture Therapy for Weight Loss

Obesity is the most prevalent chronic disease worldwide, affecting approximately 800 million adults. Excess adiposity and its numerous complications, including cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes, impose a considerable economic burden and constitute major contributors to global morbidity and mortality. Treatments that result in substantial weight reductions may improve outcomes for people living with obesity. Thread embedding acupuncture which provides long-term acupoints stimulation may be an effective treatment option for obesity. However, effects of thread embedding on obesity remain uncertain because of the small sample sizes or other methodological limitations. The objective of this multi-center, randomized, sham-controlled trial is to assess the effect of thread embedding acupuncture for alleviating weight.

Acupuncture for Painful Temporomandibular Disorder

Temporomandibular disorder (TMD) is a common musculoskeletal pain condition affecting the jaw, and acupuncture is often used for treatment, though its neurological mechanisms are unclear. This study investigates the neural mechanisms of acupuncture in TMD using functional MRI (fMRI), structural MRI (sMRI), and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), alongside machine learning to predict treatment outcomes. This study aims to enhance understanding of acupuncture's effects on TMD and improve personalized treatment approaches.

Critical State of "Remission-Recurrence" of Ulcerative Colitis

This study will recruit 100 patients with ulcerative colitis in remission for a 6-month non intervention follow-up observation. During the study, their conditions will be recorded truthfully, including general information, disease-related symptoms and signs, inflammatory bowel disease questionnaire, anxiety self-assessment scale, depression self-assessment scale, etc., every month. Collect blood, urine, and stool samples from patients every month for examination. Follow up for each subject until their condition recurs.

Effect of Acupuncture for Rapid Eye Movement Sleep Behavior Disorder

Rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behaviour disorder (RBD) is a parasomnia that is characterized by abnormal behaviours occurring during REM sleep(a sleep stage), often as dream enactments that can cause injury. Treatment options are limited. Pharmacological treatments include melatonin and clonazepam, but they have varying degrees of adverse reactions. Acupuncture is a green and safe means of treatment and has therapeutic value in sleep disorders. Using the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, the acupuncture treatment of RBD group points was formulated, and good clinical effect was obtained in the early clinical practice. This study was designed to explore the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in the treatment of RBD. Thirty patients with RBD who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were randomly divided into acupuncture group and sham acupuncture group, and were subjected to a 2-week screening period, a 4-week treatment period, and a 2-week follow-up period. The investigators will primarily observe whether there is a reduction in the number of weekly RBD events recorded by the wCIRUS-RBD questionnaire before and after treatment, and the reduction in the RWA index recorded by video polysomnography (vPSG).

A Multicentre Randomized Controlled Clinical Study on the Chitosan Nanocrystalline Qinteng Huoxue Runji Ointment Therapy for Psoriasis With Blood Stasis Syndrome.

Background: Psoriasis is one of the hot spots in the field of skin disease prevention and treatment, and TCM topical preparations have unique advantages in the treatment of psoriasis. The Qinteng Huoxue prescription series of TCM topical preparations created by Professor Sun Liyun have been observed to be effective in clinical practice in the treatment of psoriasis, but there is no multi-center clinical trial for blood stasis syndrome. In addition, the TCM topical preparations has the disadvantages of large particle diameter and unfavorable penetration of skin barrier. Objective: In this study, chitosan nanocrystalline drug delivery system was used to prepare Chitosan Nanocrystalline Qinteng Huoxue Runji Ointment, and the efficacy and safety of Chitosan Nanocrystalline Qinteng Huoxue Runji Ointment in the intervention of psoriasis with blood stasis syndrome was investigated through multi-center, randomized, double-blind, self-controlled bilateral skin lesions and placebo-controlled clinical trials. Methods: A total of 96 patients with plaque psoriasis with blood stasis syndrome of were enrolled in 4 research centers, and bilateral symmetrical rashes on limbs or trunk were selected, and randomly divided into experimental group and control group. The experimental group received topical Chitosan Nanocrystalline Qinteng Huoxue Runji Ointment, twice a day for 12 weeks, and the control group received topical placebo twice a day for 12 weeks, and two follow-up visits were performed at the 16th and 20th week. Results Indicators: The main efficacy indicators were targeted psoriasis area and severity index (tPASI), and the secondary efficacy indicators included: Psoriasis physician global assessment (PGA), target lesion area, numerical rating scale (NRS), TCM syndrome score, dermatology life quality index (DLQI), MOS 36 item short from health survey (SF-36)), and the morphology and number of vascular globules under dermoscopy. tPASI, PGA, target lesion area, NRS were assessed at baseline, at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 weeks of treatment, and at 16 and 20 weeks of follow-up. TCM syndrome score, DLQI, SF-36, and dermoscopy were assessed at baseline, 12 and 20 weeks. Safety assessment includes vital signs monitoring, blood routine, urine routine, liver and kidney function tests, and adverse events and adverse reactions. SPSS 20.0 was used for data analysis.
