Titration of Positive End-expiratory Pressure: Comparison Between Manual Thoracic or Abdominal Compression and Electrical Impedance Tomography

Patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome are placed on mechanical ventilation, and the adjustment of ventilator parameters is an important step in their care, in particular positive expiratory pressure, applied at the end of breathing. The goal of this study is to learn if continuous anterior chest compression works as well as electrical impedance tomography for positive expiratory pressure titration. Researchers will compare the two methods for each patient, in a randomly determined order : continuous anterior chest compression and electrical impedance tomography. Participants will : * have a pep titration with both techniques * be included in the study for 28 days

Video Tutorial and Oral Explanation Vs Oral Explanation Alone in Colonoscopy Preparation

Colonoscopy which is the standard examination for the exploration of the colon and rectum is performed very frequently. Colon preparation before the examination is an essential step and pescription of the colonic preparation is carried out by the gastroenterologist. However, despite a standardized explanation of the colon preparation, there is heterogeneity in understanding the colonic preparation, which in some cases compromises the quality of the colonoscopy examination. This clinical study aims to investigate whether an explanation of colonic preparation by tutorial films would increase the quality of colon preparation and would reach the recommendations of the Société française d'endoscopie digestive (SFED) in 2019.

Impact of Belt Position on the Results of PEEP Titration by EIT During ARDS

ARDS is a frequent reason for hospitalization in intensive care. In order to improve its management, doctors seek to limit the mechanical ventilation-induced injuries (VILI) that can occur. PEEP is a parameter that plays a role in the appearance of VILI, and its adjustment can be optimized by EIT. The EIT is a non-invasive, non-irradiating, real-time monitoring device, today widely used for the optimization of ventilation in patients intubated for ARDS. The positioning of the EIT belt at different chest heights could influence the result of the PEEP titration.

Ultra-portable Ultrasound vs. Standard Ultrasound to Help Place a Peripheral Catheter in Patients at Risk of Difficult Puncture

The placement of an intravenous (IV) line is a common procedure when treating adult patients in critical care, in the emergency room or in the operating room. This simple and minimally invasive procedure can sometimes be made difficult depending on the patient's morphology or their clinical condition. The procedure then becomes time-consuming, anxiety-provoking, painful and its success is uncertain. The placement of intravenous (IV) lines under ultrasound by nurses is a rapidly developing alternative in intensive care, emergencies and the operating room.
