A Study With CIT-013 in HS Patients

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if CIT-013 works to treat Hidradenitis Suppurativa in adults. It will also learn about the safety of CIT-013. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does CIT-013 lower the disease activity of HS patients? What medical problems do participants have when receiving CIT-013? Researchers will compare CIT-013 to a placebo (a look-alike substance that contains no drug) to see if CIT-013 works to treat the symptoms of HS. Participants will: Take receive 50 or 100 mg CIT-013 or placebo every other week for 12 weeks Visit the clinic once every 2 weeks for checkups and tests Keep monitor their symptoms during this period

A Study With CIT-013 in RA Patients

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if CIT-013 works to treat rheumatoid arthritis in adults. It will also learn about the safety of CIT-013. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does CIT-013 lower the disease activity of RA patients? What medical problems do participants have when receiving CIT-013? Researchers will compare CIT-013 to a placebo (a look-alike substance that contains no drug) to see if CIT-013 works to treat the symptoms of RA. PET-Based Imaging of Radiolabeled CIT-013

Inflammatory mediated immune diseases (IMIDs), such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), are characterized by chronic inflammation resulting from an aberrant immune response. Recent studies have identified neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) as key contributors to the pathology of these diseases. CIT-013 is a novel humanized monoclonal antibody designed to inhibit NET release and enhance phagocytosis, offering a new potential therapeutic strategy for RA and HS. Previous clinical trials have demonstrated that CIT-013 is well tolerated in both healthy volunteers and patients with RA, with evidence of reduced NET formation and positive effects in active RA cases. Since NET-related inflammation primarily occurs in local tissues, understanding CIT-013's distribution beyond blood measurements is crucial for evaluating its therapeutic potential. This trial therefore uses radiolabeled CIT-013 and Positron Emission Tomography-Computed Tomography (PET-CT) imaging, along with lymph node biopsies, to evaluate the distribution of CIT-013 and target engagement in patients with IMIDs.
