Risk of Nerve Damage After Administration of Local Anesthesia

This research aims to evaluate of the risk of nerve damage following the administration of articaine 4% and lidocaine 2% for Inferior Alveolar nerve Block (IANB). A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial will be conducted where the patient will be randomly assigned to one the two groups; articaine 4% and Lidocaine 2%. The type of LA will be concealed to the operator, investigators and assessors. The patients will be monitored for any aigns of nerve parathesia for 3 months after the procedure.

Auto Transplantation of Wisdom Teeth

Autotransplantation emerges as a viable alternative to tooth extraction and prosthetic restoration when conventional endodontic treatments are unfeasible or contraindicated. The success of autotransplantation is influenced by diverse factors, including root development stage, tooth morphology, surgical technique, extraoral duration, recipient socket shape, recipient bed vascularity, and periodontal ligament cell vitality. Preserving periodontal ligament quality and achieving tissue adaptation are pivotal for successful tooth transplantation. Successful donor tooth replacement is influenced by variables like fitting attempts, alveolus-root distance, extra-alveolar time, surgical skill, and extraction trauma intensity.

Pain Measured by NRS and EEG in Acute Pulpitis

The aim of the proposed study is to investigate and comprehensively understand pain perception in patients diagnosed with symptomatic acute pulpitis who are resistant to inferior alveolar nerve block (IANB). The study aims to achieve this by utilizing a dual approach that combines subjective self-reporting of pain intensity using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) with objective neurophysiological assessment through brain wave analysis using electroencephalography (EEG). By integrating these two methods, the study seeks to explore potential correlations between self-reported pain scores and neural responses recorded through EEG, providing insights into the pain experience of this specific patient population. Ultimately, the goal of the study is to enhance the understanding of pain perception mechanisms in individuals with symptomatic acute pulpitis resistant to IANB and potentially guide the development of more effective and personalized pain management strategies for these patients.

Postoperative Pain After Activation of Irrigant

The purpose of this research is to analyze the levels of pain after cleaning and shaping in individuals who are receiving root canal therapy using the IVAC irrigation approach, and those who are treated with ultrasonic irrigation techniques, negative pressure irrigation technique and traditional irrigation techniques. PICOTS Question: Does the new Dent's iVac irrigation protocol has an effect on reduction of postoperative pain By enlisting at least 84 suitable individuals who are undergoing the identical endodontic procedure. pain will be measures by assessing pain levels through a standardized numerical rate scale (NRS) at certain time intervals after root canal treatment, 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, and 72 hours.
