Impact of NANO-PSO on Cognition in Older Adults with Mild to Moderate Cognitive Impairment

The objective of this randomized, triple-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial is to compare NANO-PSO therapy against placebo in improving cognitive abilities in older adults with mild to moderate non-vascular cognitive impairment over six months of treatment. The primary questions it aims to answer are: • Does NANO-PSO therapy improve cognitive abilities in older adults with mild to moderate non-vascular cognitive impairment over six months of treatment compared to placebo? The researchers will compare NANO-PSO therapy against placebo to see if it benefits the cognitive abilities of geriatric patients. Participants will be required to: * Consume two capsules of NANO-PSO or placebo daily in the morning for six months. * Be evaluated monthly by phone to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to the treatment. * Be evaluated in person at 90 and 180 days of treatment. * The patient or primary caregiver must maintain a log to confirm daily dose consumption and will have a direct communication line with the attending physicians in case of questions about ingestion or possible adverse reactions. * At the end of the final patient evaluation, a quality questionnaire will be administered.

Neuroprotective Effect of (Nano PSO), in Patients Who Used to Consume Psychoactive Substances

Addiction problems to psychoactive substances are becoming more frequent, which implies a serious health problem, with social, family and work repercussions. Participants with chronic consumption present important degeneration processes mediated by Neuroinflammation, oxidative stress and excitotoxicity. At the moment there is no effective treatment that can reduce the damage. The effectiveness of Omega 5 has been demonstrated in different disorders of the nervous system; However, very little has been elucidated about the mechanisms of regulation and activation in consumer patients. Omega 5 Nano-PSO has an important role in mechanisms of cell survival in different pathological events. In this project aims to explain the possible mechanisms underlying the morphological changes and pathologies associated with oxidative stress and inflammation, since it could be a useful strategy to counteract the effects of substances of abuse on brain cells. Omega 5 (Nano PSO) will modify the levels of neurotrophic factors through the decrease in inflammation and reactive oxygen species in patient-consumers of substances, reducing neuronal death and therefore cognitive deterioration. Methodological design Type of study: Clinical trial, randomized controlled, double blind. Research Headquarters: This work will be carried out at the University Center for Health Science with the participation of the "My family is waiting for me" rehabilitation centers. Efficacy of Nano-Pso Therapy in Menopause

Vasomotor syndrome is prevalent in 85% of postmenopausal women, hormone therapy in menopause is first-line therapy, but 38% of patients have some contraindication for its use. The medications indicated in this population presents adverse reactions, such as dryness of the mucous membranes, and insomnia in patients, and triggers to abandoned treatment due to poor response to the drug. Aligned with the safety of patients, we wish to test pomegranate seed oil with nanotechnology (NANOPSO), which has been reported to have positive results at a central level, due to its antioxidant effect, which could impact women in climacteric in a positive way. The study involves the participation of 90 patients divided into two groups, where placebo or Nano-PSO will be administered for 60 days, with a total follow-up of 120 days. It is established that patients must not have received previous treatments for menopausal symptoms. Therefore, it is expected that therapy with NANO-PSO compared to placebo will be more effective in controlling vasomotor symptoms in early menopause after 6 months of treatment evaluated by the MRS scale.
