A Study to Test Feasibility and Acceptability of an Intervention Program Aiming to Reduce Prenatal Secondhand Smoke Exposure

This pilot study assess the feasibility and acceptability of the "First Breath" digital behavioral intervention aiming to reduce prenatal SHS exposure. By involving both the pregnant women and partners (who smoke) of pregnant women, our intervention encourages reducing secondhand smoke exposure at home and in the car, through a gradual, capacity and self-efficacy building, structured plan. "First Breath" focus on raising knowledge about the health consequences of prenatal secondhand exposure, proposing strategies to avoid exposure, and raising motivation to implement a smoke free home and car. Our intervention also includes personal biochemical feedback to the pregnant women using urine cotinine (a marker of secondhand smoke exposure), and advice on using nicotine-replacemnt therapy within the home setting to avoid smoking.

Testing the Cog-Fun Aging Program for Older Adults With Subjective Cognitive Decline

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if the Cog-Fun Aging program helps older adults with Subjective Cognitive Decline (SCD) manage memory challenges and improve their daily lives. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does the program help participants better understand their cognitive challenges in daily life? * Do participants report using more effective strategies to manage their memory difficulties? * Does the Cog-Fun Aging program reduce negative emotions and self-perceptions related to SCD? Researchers will compare participants who complete the Cog-Fun Aging program with those who do not to determine the program's effectiveness. Participants will: Take part in a 10-week program with weekly sessions. Learn about SCD and how it affects daily life. Practice and monitor strategies to manage memory difficulties.

Cog-Fun Ageing Participation-centered, Health Promotion for Older Adults

The goal of this feasibility study is to test the feasibility of a group intervention program based on health management principles for older adults with Subjective Cognitive Decline (SCD). SCD is a condition where individuals feel that their memory is worsening, although standard tests do not detect it. This perceived memory decline can lead to negative feelings and self-perception, causing people to withdraw from meaningful activities. This study aims to answer three main questions: 1. Is the intervention feasible in terms of fidelity, adherence, and participant satisfaction? 2. Are the assessments used sensitive enough to identify the unique challenges faced by the SCD population and detect changes after the intervention? 3. What are the preliminary effects of the intervention on participants' perceptions of how SCD affects their daily life, mental health, and quality of life? Participants will: 1. Take part in 14 weekly group sessions focused on managing the challenges of living with SCD and improving participation in daily activities. 2. Complete assessments before and after the intervention to measure their satisfaction with the program, and track changes in their perceptions of daily life, mental health, and quality of life.

The Effectiveness of Cognitive-Functional Remote Group Intervention (Cog-Fun RG) for Adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

The goal of this clinical trial is to examine the effectiveness of Cognitive-Functional Remote Group intervention (Cog-Fun RG). The main questions of this study are 1. will participants demonstrate improvements in their executive functioning and quality of life after receiving the intervention, compared to waitlist controls. In addition, the investigators will examine if the waitlist group will demonstrate similar gains in these outcomes after receiving the same intervention. the investigators will compare between the intervention group to the waiting list group to examine the effect of the intervention. The participants will be allocated into two groups: an intervention group and a waiting list group. The intervention group will receive the the Cog-Fun RG intervention, which includes 21 weekly group sessions, each lasting 90 minutes. the participants will be required to complete questionnaires at several time points: pre-post the intervention, as well as three months, six months, and one year after the intervention. The waiting list controls will be required to complete questionnaires at several time points: pre-post waiting period, and then after the intervention, as well as three months, six months, and one year after the intervention.

Cognitive Control Mechanisms in Older Adults

The prevalence of depressive symptoms in older adults is on the rise, affecting 13 to 37% of older adults globally. These symptoms significantly impact health, increasing the risk of dementia and cognitive decline, and impairing daily functioning and quality of life. Reduced cognitive control (CC) is a key factor contributing to depressive symptoms, affecting 40% of adults with such symptoms. Despite this, over half of affected adults do not respond well to available treatments. Computerized cognitive training (CCT) has shown efficacy in improving CC but its impact on daily functioning is limited. The Cognitive Orientation to Occupational Performance (CO-OP) approach has demonstrated promise in improving daily functioning, as measured by occupational performance (OP). We propose a novel intervention, GOLD-Cog+, combining CCT and CO-OP, to address CC and functional deficits in older adults with depressive symptoms.

Effectiveness of Occupational Therapy Teleintervention in Pediatric

The high prevalence of children with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD's; 5-29%) combined with the low accessibility and availability of child development services in Israel raises an urgent need to develop innovative, effective and accessible models of intervention. Teleintervention is an innovative and practical option for providing developmental services, however the evidence for its effectiveness among this population are insufficient. Study goals are: (1) to adapt an occupation therapy intervention for remote delivery; (2) to assess its feasibility (in terms of adherence, treatment fidelity and satisfaction with care); (3) to assess its efficacy in promoting personal functional goals, participation in daily activities and QOL in children aged 5-8 years with NDD's. We will conduct a controlled study without randomization using mixed methods. Participants will include 40 children with NDD's and functional difficulties in daily life that will assigned to study group (teleintervention; n=20) or control group (in person intervention; n=20). The intervention program will include 12 weekly sessions based on an evidence-based approach (CO-OP), that will take place in videoconference or in personal meetings formats. The main outcome measures will include standard assessment tools aim to assess participation and QOL. Feasibility will be assessed in terms of adherence, fidelity and satisfaction with care using a descriptive statistics and feedback interviews. Effectiveness will be evaluated by group X time interaction using a repeated measure MANOVA. To examine the variables that predict adherence and success in treatment, linear regression will be used. In addition, a thematic analysis of the qualitative information will be performed.
