Feasibility and Preliminary Outcomes of the Brave Elephant Program: A Single-Arm Pretest-Posttest Study

Anxiety disorders are highly prevalent in childhood and have increased following the COVID-19 pandemic. Behavioral inhibition in early childhood is a well-established risk factor for later anxiety. School-based preventive interventions that target both classroom environments and individual child characteristics may help reduce early risk and improve socioemotional development. Interventions delivered in preschool settings that address the needs of behaviorally inhibited children, while also supporting professional development, may improve the quality of interactions within the classroom and with families, and promote positive developmental outcomes. The Brave Elephant Program is an evidence-based intervention grounded in a bioecological developmental framework. It aims to empower early childhood education professionals to promote socioemotional competence and resilience in all children, while addressing the specific needs of behaviorally inhibited preschoolers and enhancing educators' professional development. This study will evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary outcomes of the program using a single-arm pretest-posttest design.

Understanding and Responding to Grief-Related Needs: A Differentiated Community Approach

The GriefDiff study is a randomized controlled trial evaluating a differentiated, community-based model of grief support for older adults. It compares three intervention levels-Information and Grief Literacy (IGLiteracy), Individual Self-Help Program (ISelfHP), and Moderated Self-Help Groups (MSHGroups)-to assess their effectiveness in reducing prolonged grief and psychological distress. Participants are screened for risk of Prolonged Grief Disorder and relational needs, then randomized to matched or non-matched interventions. Outcomes are measured at baseline, post-intervention (3 months), and follow-up (6 months), focusing primarily on prolonged grief symptoms and secondarily on depression, anxiety, stress, attachment, social support, and traumatic stress. The study aims to provide evidence for a cost-effective, scalable, and preventive public health model of bereavement care.

The VIPP-SD intervention integrates the enhancement of parental sensitive responsiveness (Ainsworth et al., 1974) with parent coaching aimed at preventing coercive parent-child interaction cycles (Patterson, 1982) and facilitating sensitive limit-setting practices.ase parental sensitivity and sensitive discipline of the primary parent

Adaptation of REDCHIP Intervention for the Portuguese Context

The present Feasibility Randomized Controlled Trial (FRCT) aims to assess the acceptability and effectiveness of REDCHiP intervention, targeting parents of young children with T1D, followed in two major Portuguese hospitals. The objective of this trial is to evaluate (1) acceptability and feasibility by evaluating recruitment and retention rates, attendance throughout the sessions, and responses to parent satisfaction; (2) effectiveness by analyzing changes in parents' FH, diabetes distress (DD), emotional regulation (ER), resilient coping skills (RC), and anxiety and depression as well as changes in child glycemic outcomes (HbA1c, GMI, TBR, TIR, TAR) at three time points among participants allocated on intervention versus Treatment As Usual (TAU) group. Finally, (3) the investigators aim to qualitatively evaluate participant´s experiences and feedback regarding the REDHIP intervention through interviews.
