The Effect of Exercise on Cognitive Functions in Individuals With Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Study Objective: To examine the effect of aerobic exercise on disease activity and cognitive functions in patients diagnosed with SLE. Study Goals: 1. To conduct comprehensive pre- and post-treatment (after 12 weeks) evaluations of SLE patients included in the study, and to determine their disease activity and cognitive levels. 2. To apply aerobic exercise to SLE patients for three months. 3. To analyze the effects of the aerobic exercise program on disease activity and cognitive functions.

Effects of EMDR on Psychological Symptoms and EEG Findings in Trauma-Exposed Individuals

This study will examine the effects of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) group therapy on adults who experienced the April 2025 Silivri earthquake in Turkey. Participants will be randomly assigned to either an EMDR intervention group or a waitlist control group. Psychological symptoms will be measured using the PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5), the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21), the Short Form Health Survey (SF-36), and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Quantitative EEG (QEEG) recordings will also be collected before and after the intervention to assess changes in brain activity related to emotional regulation and trauma processing. The goal of the study is to evaluate whether EMDR produces both clinical and neurophysiological improvements in trauma-exposed individuals.

Effect of Semaglutide and Tirzepatide Combined With Exercise in Obesity

Obesity is a growing global health problem that affects people of all ages. It can lead to serious health issues such as cardiovascular disease, insulin resistance, inflammation, and reduced physical function. New medications, including GLP-1 receptor agonists like semaglutide and dual GLP-1/GIP agonists like tirzepatide, have been shown to help people lose significant weight. However, some of this rapid weight loss may come from a reduction in muscle mass rather than fat. Losing muscle can lower physical performance, impair metabolic health, and increase the risk of developing sarcopenic obesity. This study aims to compare the effects of pharmacological treatment alone with a combined treatment program that includes both medication and exercise in individuals with obesity. The primary objective is to evaluate how these two approaches influence body composition. The secondary objective is to examine the effects of pharmacological treatment versus combined treatment on cardiometabolic markers, peripheral muscle strength, functional capacity, respiratory function, respiratory muscle performance, and physical activity levels. The study seeks to determine whether adding structured exercise to medication can provide additional health benefits beyond weight loss.

Evaluation of Validity and Reliability of the Turkish Translation of the Digital Health Readiness Questionaire in Different Chronic Diseases

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines digital health as the field of knowledge and application related to any aspect of the adoption of digital technology in the stages of improvement. The combination of digital health with technology brings about a new transformation in digital media. This transformation allows for the development of communication and information in health services, the ability to conduct health-related research on digital media and the evaluation of this data. The ease of access to information and the provision of a timely feedback mechanism in the face of problems have enabled the spread of digital health systems, and have also enabled chronic disease management and epidemic disease monitoring. It is recommended that the term digital readiness be used to cover the combination of digital access and use, digital literacy and digital health literacy. Digital health readiness is also defined as the main determinant of health and is thought to contribute to the improvement of health processes with the development of digital health literacy and to be a useful solution against health problems that may arise in the follow-up of chronic diseases. Although there are tools in the literature that evaluate digital health readiness, there is no Turkish assessment tool that facilitates the follow-up of non-communicable chronic diseases. Therefore, the aim of our study is to evaluate the translation, validity, and reliability of the Digital Health Readiness Questionaire into Turkish in individuals with chronic non-infectious diseases.
