STEM As I Am Phase I

Black students experience significant achievement gaps that contribute to underrepresentation in high paying STEM fields and disparity in health and economic outcomes. Effective middle-school interventions include exposure to culturally relevant STEM role models, instruction in academic behaviors and growth mindset, instruction in the academic vocabulary required to pass high stakes achievement tests, and support for family engagement. The goal of this proposal is to develop a media-enhanced technology that offers Black middle school students and their families a culturally responsive support tool for engaging in STEM learning in the home setting.

Talk Parenting Education Program II

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn whether Talk Parenting, a voice-based program delivered through an Amazon Echo Dot (Alexa), can help parents and caregivers of children ages 3-5 years improve challenging bedtime and morning routines. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does using Talk Parenting improve families' bedtime and morning experiences and children's sleep/wake habits? Does using Talk Parenting improve parents' routine-related parenting practices and confidence, strengthen the parent-child relationship, and reduce children's behavior problems and parents' stress? Researchers will compare families who receive Talk Parenting right away to families who wait 6 weeks to receive the program (a waitlist control group receiving usual services during the wait). Participants will: Complete online questionnaires at the start of the study and again about 6 weeks later (and a follow-up questionnaire later in the study). Receive a pre-configured Amazon Echo Dot (to keep) and instructions to use Talk Parenting routines at home, including a bedtime routine, a brief calming routine, and a morning routine (enabled after the first 2 weeks).

Innovating Technology Solutions for Residents in Support Housing Communities w SUD Through Community-Engaged Research

The goal of this clinical trial is to understand whether a technology-based solution, provided to residents in permanent supportive housing, is acceptable, feasible to implement, and has promise for improving resident stability. The main questions it aims to answer are: • Is the technology-based, community-defined solution usable, acceptable, feasible, and have promise of effectiveness for improving resident knowledge? There is no comparison group, all participants will receive the technology-based intervention. Researchers expect the intervention will include 2 weeks of intervention content that includes videos and incentives for completing content though the solution tested will ultimately be co-defined by our community board.

Walk With Me (WWM) for Perinatal Grief

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if the Along With Me web-based intervention works to decrease posttraumatic stress symptoms and suicidal ideation among bereaved parents following pregnancy and early infant loss. It will also learn whether peer guides provide additional improvements on these outcomes. The main questions it aims to answer are: • Do people who receive Along With Me or Along With Me plus a Peer Guide compared to services as usual have lower posttraumatic stress symptoms and suicidal ideation than those who do not receive the intervention? Researchers will compare Along With Me and Along With Me plus a Peer Guide to services as usual (referrals made in the hospital setting) to see if Along With Me works to prevent and address posttraumatic stress symptoms and suicidal ideation. Participants will: * Receive access to a mobile app with approximately 10 therapeutic modules about how to manage grief and other symptoms. * Receive check-ins with a Peer Guide (in the Peer Guide condition only)
