Effects of Music on Post-Cesarean Pain, Anxiety, Breastfeeding and Mother Infant Attachment Impact

The physiological effects of music therapy include creating a behavioral change and changing the mood by reducing psychophysiological stress, pain, anxiety and isolation. Music has the ability to create deep relaxation. It is known to have relieving effects on insomnia. In addition, it has been reported that music therapy application before and during birth reduces labor pain and reduces postpartum anxiety and depression levels. The postpartum period, which begins with the birth of the newborn, covers the 6-8 week period that it takes for the changes that occur in the woman's body during pregnancy to return to its pre-pregnancy state. This period is an important transition period in which physical, social and emotional changes occur in mothers. In addition to rapid anatomical and physiological changes, mothers experience a difficult process in which the transition to motherhood is experienced, new roles and responsibilities are assumed, and relationships with their spouses and other family members are reorganized. Although a woman begins to feel the changes that having a baby creates in her daily life during pregnancy, she usually experiences the biggest change after the baby is born. The period when the first emotional bond between the newborn and her family is formed and a sense of trust develops is defined as mother-baby bonding. Many factors affect mother-baby bonding in the postpartum period, which is the most important time when the bond established between the expectant mother and the baby during pregnancy, referred to as prenatal bonding, is strengthened after birth. It is particularly affected by the mother's upbringing, as well as her experiences during pregnancy, birth, puerperium, and the baby's first months. Healthy and early interaction between mother and baby initiates a healthy bonding process.

Non-Invasive Transcutaneous Auricular Vagus Nerve Stimulation Applied at Different Durations in Healthy Adults

This randomized, participant-blinded, sham-controlled interventional study aims to compare the acute effects of non-invasive transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) applied at different durations on autonomic nervous system responses in healthy adults. Participants will be assigned to either an active taVNS group or a sham stimulation group. Within each group, participants will complete three separate study visits in which stimulation will be applied for 5, 10, and 15 minutes in randomized order, with 48- to 72-hour washout intervals between visits. Heart rate variability, heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and subjective discomfort will be assessed immediately before and after each intervention session. The study is designed to determine whether the acute autonomic effects of taVNS vary according to stimulation duration and whether a duration-related response pattern can be identified.

Comparison of Heart Rate Variability Analysis Durations and Their Relationship With Blood Pressure

This observational study aims to compare heart rate variability (HRV) parameters obtained from different analysis durations in healthy adults and to examine how these parameters relate to resting blood pressure values. HRV is a noninvasive measure commonly used to assess autonomic nervous system activity. Standard short-term HRV analysis is typically based on 5-minute recordings, but shorter and longer analysis durations are also used in research and practice. This study will evaluate whether HRV values derived from 1-minute, 5-minute, 10-minute, and 20-minute analysis windows differ from one another and whether their relationships with systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and mean arterial pressure change according to analysis duration. Participants will attend a single study visit. After a rest period, resting blood pressure and pulse will be measured, and a continuous HRV recording will be obtained using a chest strap device. The study is designed to provide methodological information on the comparability of different HRV analysis durations under the same physiological conditions.

Effect of Recording Duration on Heart Rate Variability During taVNS

This study aims to evaluate how different heart rate variability (HRV) recording durations reflect autonomic nervous system responses during transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) in healthy adults. In a randomized, sham-controlled crossover design, participants will attend two separate sessions and receive both active taVNS and sham stimulation in randomized order. During each session, a continuous 10-minute HRV recording will be obtained, and 1-minute, 5-minute, and 10-minute analysis windows will be compared. Blood pressure and pulse will also be measured before and after stimulation. The study will investigate whether shorter or longer HRV recording durations provide results comparable to the standard 5-minute recording and which duration most reliably detects autonomic changes during taVNS.

Different Frequency Applications of Transcutaneous Auricular Vagus Nerve Stimulation in Healthy Individuals

This randomized, participant-blinded, sham-controlled crossover study aims to investigate the acute effects of different frequency applications of transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) on autonomic physiological responses in healthy adults. Participants will receive sham (0 Hz), 10 Hz, 25 Hz, 50 Hz, and 100 Hz taVNS in separate sessions with washout periods between visits. Heart rate variability, blood pressure, pulse rate, respiratory rate, and subjective discomfort will be assessed before and after each intervention session.

Effectiveness of Virtual Simulation Game in Teaching Venous Blood Sampling Skills to Nursing Students

The goal of this randomized controlled trial is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Virtual Simulation Game (VSG) method in teaching venous blood sampling (VBS) skills to second-year nursing students. The study aims to provide a safe, engaging, and innovative learning environment for nursing students, enabling them to improve their skills without compromising patient safety. The main questions the study seeks to answer are: Does VSG training improve nursing students' knowledge levels in VBS education? Does VSG training enhance nursing students' practical performance in VBS procedures? Does VSG training increase nursing students' satisfaction with VBS education? Does VSG training boost nursing students' confidence in performing VBS? Does VSG training enhance nursing students' comfort during VBS practice? Researchers will compare the Virtual Simulation Game (VSG) method to the standard technique. In the VSG group, students will engage with an interactive simulation game to practice VBS skills virtually before applying them in a clinical setting. In the control group, students will practice VBS skills using traditional methods in a laboratory environment. Participants' Tasks: Students in the VSG group will: Log in to the simulation platform with their credentials. Complete interactive training scenarios that mimic real-life challenges in venous blood sampling. Practice the procedure on their peers under supervision. Students in the control group will: Practice VBS directly on their peers under supervision without using simulation. After practicing, all students will be observed for 15 minutes by expert nurses for potential complications or discomfort. If needed, participants will receive medical care. This study adheres to the CONSORT guidelines for randomized controlled trials and incorporates validated instruments to measure knowledge, skill performance, satisfaction, confidence, and comfort levels among participants. The findings aim to bridge the gap in nursing education by introducing an innovative, technology-driven approach to skill training.
