Evaluation of a Personalised Digital Intervention (EviBody) for Healthy and Sustained Lifestyle Behaviors and Well-being Among Adults: a Real-world Quasi-experimental Study

The goal of this quasi-experimental observational study is to evaluate the impact of a personally tailored digital intervention aimed to support a healthy lifestyle on well-being, lifestyle behaviors, and mental health among the adult population. The main questions it aims to answer are: I) Is a digital intervention developed to offer personalised digital support for healthy habits effective in improving well-being compared to a control group from the general population after 6 months? II) Is the effectiveness dose-dependent (better effect with higher membership level)? III) Does the digital intervention assist in maintaining healthy eating and physical activity habits, mental health, and well-being across 24 months? IV) Are sociodemographic factors associated with achieving the self-identified goals and improvements in eating and physical activity habits, mental health, and well-being? VI) Do engagement, motivation, self-efficacy, and perceived barriers mediate the associations between sociodemographic characteristics and changes in self-identified goals, eating and physical activity habits, mental health, and well-being over a 24-month period? V) How is the pattern of user engagement across 24 months? Participants are users of the mobile phone application EviBody. The group will be compared with individuals from the general population to evaluate if the digital intervention is effective in improving well-being, eating and physical activity habits, and mental health.

Periodic Continuous Glucose Monitoring in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes

The aim of this randomised controlled trial is to investigate the effectiveness of periodic CGM (continuous glucose monitoring) to support a person-centered approach versus self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) in adults with type 2 diabetes on glucose control and patient reported outcomes.

Evaluation of a Digital Person-Centered Rehabilitation Program Targeting Physical Activity in Spinal Stenosis Surgery (Get Back)

This study aims to investigate whether Get Back is more effective than standard rehabilitation in increasing the number of steps per day, improving physical activity levels, and functional ability for patients undergoing surgery for lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS). LSS is common, especially among older adults, leading to increased health risks and reduced quality of life. Despite its prevalence (about 60% of all spinal surgeries in Sweden), many LSS patients remain physically inactive post-surgery, worsening their health. Rehabilitation remains a global challenge with unequal access, and many patients feel disengaged from the process. Get Back is a digital rehabilitation program including three components: gradually increasing physical activity, managing fear and avoidance behaviors, and using behavior change techniques. It has shown promising results in a pilot study, increasing daily steps. The program uses a person-centered approach tailored to personal needs. This multicenter randomized controlled trial will assess efficacy, process, and cost-effectiveness. It will also explore how preoperative values such as physical capacity and psychological factors predict changes in daily steps after surgery. Data will be collected via questionnaires, functional tests, and interviews, with the primary outcome being daily steps measured with motion sensors. The study will involve 252 patients from four spinal clinics. Get Back promotes increased physical activity and accessible rehabilitation, contributing to better health for LSS patients.
