AI-Based Tai Chi and Baduanjin for Improving Balance and Reducing Fall Risk in Adults With Chronic Diseases

This study aims to examine the effects of an AI-based mobile application delivering Tai Chi and Baduanjin exercises on balance and fall risk in adults with chronic diseases. Participants will be randomly assigned to Tai Chi, Baduanjin, or a control group over a 12-week period. The AI application will provide exercise guidance and basic feedback. Outcomes will focus on balance and, fall risk, along with user interaction with the technology. The results are expected to support the use of AI-assisted exercise programs in improving balance and reducing fall risk in individuals with chronic conditions.

Wearable Sensory Prosthesis to Improve Coordination, Walking, and Physical Activity

The goal of this clinical trial is to investigate whether sensory stimulations from a neuroprosthesis device (Walkasins®) can increase physical activity and improve gait quality in persons with peripheral neuropathy (PN). The main question it aims to answer is whether Walkasins enhances habitual activity patterns in adults with peripheral neuropathy. Participants will do the following as part of the study: * Complete a sensation and balance assessment to determine eligibility for the study. * Answer questions about their medical history, physical function, balance confidence, and sleep. * Perform various balance and walking tasks on three separate occasions. One of the tests involves walking for six minutes without a cane or walker. * Wear an activPAL activity monitor for ten days on three separate occasions and return it to the researcher as directed. * Wear Walkasins for ten weeks as part of their daily routine. Walkasins consists of two parts: 1) an insole that fits inside the shoe and 2) a strap that secures around the ankle.

Balance & Respiratory Muscle Strength in Healthy Adults

The study aims to examine the acute effects of balance exercises on balance performance in healthy individuals. It will be conducted with healthy males and females aged 18-25. The research is an experimental study with a single-blind pre-test/post-test design. Initially, participants' balance will be assessed using the Single Leg Stance Test. Then, a short balance exercise program lasting 8-10 minutes will be applied. Exercises include single-leg stance, eyes-closed balance, and unstable surface training. After the exercise, the same test will be repeated to evaluate changes. Perceived exertion will be measured using the Modified Borg Scale. The collected data will be analyzed using SPSS software. The results are expected to contribute to improving balance, performance, and reducing injury risk.

Effects of Three Different Exercise Programs on Dynamic Balance in Community-Dwelling Older Adults

This study aims to compare the effects of core stabilization exercises, an amplitude-based exercise program derived from LSVT BIG principles, and their combination on dynamic balance in community-dwelling healthy older adults aged 65 years and above. Secondary outcomes include functional mobility, fear of falling, reaction time, and quality of life. Age-related declines in neuromuscular and sensory functions impair postural control and increase fall risk. While both core stabilization and amplitude-based exercises have shown beneficial effects, their comparative and combined effects in healthy older adults remain unclear. This study will determine whether the combined intervention provides additional benefits over single interventions.

Effect of Shoulder Sling Use on Balance and Mobility in Subacute Stroke Patients

This study examines whether wearing a shoulder sling can improve balance and mobility in people who are recovering from a stroke. Participants will perform simple movement and balance tests twice-once with the sling and once without. The goal is to find out if using the sling helps patients feel more stable and safe during walking and everyday activities.

Identify the Most Effective Rehabilitation Method Between a Treatment with a Sensorized Treadmill (Walker View) and a Treatment with Conventional Group Therapy in Balance Disorders and the Use of Artificial Intelligence to Identify Predictive Indices to Prevent Falls and Diagnose Promptly the Risk

Falls in the elderly are one of the main sources of disability and hospitalization, with a significant impact on quality of life and social and healthcare costs. Falls represent a significant health concern for people over 60 years old. Numerous studies have shown that falls cause serious health consequences. Around 30% of people over the age of 60 experience a fall during the year. According to the impact falls have, the investigators decided to analyze the effectiveness of training on a Walker View sensorized treadmill, with the possibility of exercises for coordination and balance, compared to training with a conventional group therapy, in order to understand the best training to reduce the risk of falling and observe the possible improvements in daily life activities. So the study aims to identify the most effective rehabilitation method between a treatment with a sensorized treadmill (Walker View) and a conventional group therapy in balance disorders. The study also aims to identify predictive indices, with the use of Artificial Intelligence, that can contribute to the prevention and diagnosis of balance disorders in a short time and prevent falls in the elderly.
