Foot Ulcers, Diabetic

This study is a randomized clinical trial that compares the effectiveness of Plasma Rich in Growth Factors (PRGF) with conventional treatment for healing foot ulcers in diabetic patients who also have peripheral arterial disease. The goal is to assess how well PRGF promotes healing over a six-month period.

Increasing prevalence of diabetes mellitus has led to increasing numbers of chronic non-healing foot ulcers (wounds). Electrolysed water is a novel antiseptic which reduces bacterial load and appears to encourage wound healing. The investigators propose to compare electrolysed water against conventional management.
