Perioperative Oral Vitamin D3 Supplementation on Implant Osseointegration

The number of patients treated in Implantology at Nantes University Hospital is 400 per year. This pilot study aims to demonstrate the efficacy of a 6-month oral cholecalciferol supplementation on osseointegration in patients requiring dental implants and presenting with vitamin D deficiency, compared to French patients who have not undergone vitamin D screening

Peri-implant Mucosal Changes Over Time Following Implant Provisional Removal in the Esthetic Zone

The study will examine the temporary volumetric change that happens in the gums around an implant crown when the crown is removed. The main question of the study is "how much time has to pass to see a significant change, especially when there could be a need to make a mold of the surrounding gum to make a new crown?" The area of the implant crown will be scanned with an intra-oral scanner over a period of 15 minutes.

Photofunctionalization With UVC

Summary: Objective: The general objective is to compare the placement of standard implants with a surface photofunctionalization technique based on ultraviolet C radiation (UVC), having as working hypothesis that this photofunctionalization will accelerate the bone apposition on the implant surface and increase the amount of bone that binds to the implant, making it possible to load these photofunctionalized implants in less time. Design: Pilot, clinical, randomized, prospective, controlled, single-center, prospective study. Scope of the study: Master's Degree in Oral Surgery and Implantology. Faculty of Dentistry. Complutense University of Madrid. Subjects of the study: patients attending the Master's Degree in Oral Surgery and Implantology for rehabilitation with dental implants, regardless of the sector in which they have missing teeth. Key words: ISQ (implant stability quotient), inmediate loading, UVC, dental implants.

Characterizing the Inflammation Around Dental Implants: Bacterial Infection, Hypersensitivity or Both?

The use of titanium dental implants has become a common modern treatment to restore teeth. Although the success rate of dental implants is high, inflammation around the dental implant still occurs. The current study will investigate if the inflammation around the implant is due to bacterial infection, hypersensitivity or both.
