Developing and Strengthening Cannabis Warnings: Warning Message Testing

The purpose of this activity is to identify promising cannabis warning messages from different themes. Participants will be adults who live in the United States, including both people who use cannabis and those who do not use cannabis. In an online within-subjects experiment, participants will be randomly assigned to view 7 cannabis warning messages from different themes developed as part of previous study activities. After viewing each cannabis warning message, participants will rate the message on awareness, clarity, believability, cognitive elaboration, perceived message effectiveness, and reactance. The survey will take 15-20 minutes.

LaunchPad: Supporting Healthy Decisions and Preventing Drug Use After High School

LaunchPad is an online substance use prevention program for high school seniors. The program is designed to help seniors develop skills and make informed decisions as they transition from high school to young adulthood. The purpose of this clinical trial is to learn whether individual LaunchPad lessons improve the specific attitudes, intentions, and skills they are designed to address. For example, researchers will examine whether the stress management lesson increases students' intentions to use healthy ways of managing stress. The main question this study aims to answer is: Does each individual LaunchPad lesson improve the specific outcomes it was designed to address? Researchers will compare students who receive a particular lesson with students who do not receive that lesson to determine whether the lesson changes the intended outcome. Participants will: * Complete a brief baseline survey * Complete two introductory online lessons * Complete one or more randomly assigned LaunchPad lessons * Complete a brief follow-up survey All surveys and lessons will be completed online.

THC + CBD and Memory Study

Memory deficits are one of the most consistently observed cognitive effects of marijuana use. There is evidence that some decrements attributable to the primary psychoactive ingredient, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), may be attenuated by cannabidiol (CBD). This study will help us learn more about the relationship between THC and CBD consumption with memory processes. A combination of MRI and neuropsychological tests (which are computer and paper/pencil tasks) will be used to measure the neurocognitive and behavioral impacts of THC and CBD use.
