Effects of Different Myofascial Release Techniques on Function in Chronic Non-Specific Neck Pain

This single-center, three-arm randomized controlled trial compares the effects of different myofascial release techniques, combined with a structured exercise program, on functional outcomes in individuals with chronic non-specific neck pain (CNNP). Eligible participants (aged 18 to 45 years, neck pain for at least 3 months, pain intensity VAS at least 3, and myofascial trigger points in the upper-quarter muscles) are allocated by simple randomization into three groups: * Conventional Therapy Group: hot pack, conventional TENS, and a structured exercise program. * Manual Myofascial Release Group: conventional therapy plus therapist-applied manual myofascial release. * Self-Myofascial Release Group: conventional therapy plus supervised self-applied myofascial release using a duo-ball, balls, and a massage stick/cane. All interventions are delivered 3 days per week for 6 weeks. The primary outcome is pain intensity. Secondary outcomes include pressure pain threshold and tolerance, cervical range of motion, muscle stiffness, craniovertebral angle, cervical proprioception, muscle strength and endurance, disability, neck awareness, multidimensional biopsychosocial status, sleep quality, quality of life, and kinesiophobia. The aim is to determine whether manual or self-applied myofascial release, added to exercise, produces greater functional improvement in people with chronic non-specific neck pain.

Effects of Tele-rehabilitation Versus Supervised Rehabilitation Among Computer Users With Non-specific Neck Pain

The current study is a single-blinded, two-arm parallel-group randomized controlled trial involving 62 participants with non-specific neck pain among computer users. The trial aims to compare the effects of tele-rehabilitation and supervised rehabilitation on neck pain, disability, and exercise adherence. Both groups will receive the same structured exercise program along with postural correction instructions. The tele-rehabilitation group will perform exercises remotely with digital guidance, reminders, and follow-ups, while the supervised group will receive in-clinic physiotherapy sessions under professional supervision. Interventions will be carried out three times per week for a duration of six weeks, with each session lasting approximately 40 minutes. Outcome measures will include neck pain (VAS), neck disability (NDI), and exercise adherence (ATEMPT tool).Assessments will be conducted at baseline and at the end of treatment at 8th week.The study will be conducted at the Physical Therapy Department of Sehat Medical Complex Lake City, and the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital. The hypothesis is that tele-rehabilitation will be more effective than supervised rehabilitation in reducing neck pain and disability, and may result in better exercise adherence due to its convenience and accessibility.

This study aims to investigate the effect of the Muscle Energy Technique on neck disability level and cervical range of motion in individuals with non-specific neck pain. The study will be conducted at Avicenna International Hospital in Istanbul. Participants with non-specific neck pain will be included in the study. The intervention will involve the application of Muscle Energy Technique, and outcomes will be assessed using standardized measures of neck disability and cervical range of motion. The findings are expected to contribute to improving treatment approaches for individuals with non-specific neck pain.

Effects of a Multimodal Telerehabilitation Program in Patients With Chronic Non-Specific Neck Pain.

Effects of Connective Tissue Massage and Physical Modalities Combined With Stabilization Exercises in Chronic Neck Pain

This randomized, double-blinded controlled trial aims to investigate the comparative effects of connective tissue massage and physical modalities, when combined with cervical and scapulothoracic stabilization exercises, in individuals with chronic non-specific neck pain. A total of 51 participants aged 18-65 years will be randomly assigned into three groups. Group 1 will perform stabilization exercises alone, Group 2 will receive stabilization exercises plus connective tissue massage, and Group 3 will receive stabilization exercises plus electrotherapy modalities (infrared, continuous ultrasound, and TENS). The interventions will be conducted twice weekly for 8 weeks, and participants will also perform home-based exercises daily. Primary outcomes include pain, disability, and endurance, while secondary outcomes focus on quality of life, cervical range of motion, and scapular function.

Comparison of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization Exercises and Deep Cervical Muscle Exercises on Muscle Fat Infiltration in Individuals With Neck Pain

This clinical trial study aims to compare the effects of DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization) exercises and deep cervical muscle exercises on fat infiltration, disability, and posture in individuals with chronic non-specific neck pain. The clinical questions of this study are as follows: * Can DNS and deep cervical muscle exercises decrease muscle fat infiltration? * Can DNS and deep cervical muscle exercises improve neck disability? * Can DNS and deep cervical muscle exercises improve neck posture? Researchers will compare DNS and deep cervical muscle exercises to people with non-specific neck pain. DNS exercises are hypothesized to significantly reduce fat infiltration and improve neck disability and neck posture compared to deep cervical muscle exercises. The participants will undergo an MRI scan and clinical assessment, such as NDI (Neck Disability Index) and posture checking, before being randomly divided into two groups. The first group will perform DNS exercises, and the second group will engage in deep cervical muscle exercises. Both sets of exercises will be performed for 16 weeks as part of a daily routine. After the 16-week exercises, the participants will undergo a follow-up MRI, NDI, and posture checking.
