Collecting Medical Information and Tissue Samples From Patients With Pancreatic Cancer or Other Pancreatic Disorders

RATIONALE: Gathering medical information and collecting and storing samples of blood and tissue to test in the laboratory may help doctors develop better ways to screen people at risk for pancreatic cancer or other pancreatic disorders in the future. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is collecting medical information and tissue samples from patients with pancreatic cancer or other pancreatic disorders.

The Effects of the CF Carrier State on the Kidneys and Pancreas

The overarching hypothesis is that CF carriers are at increased risk for developing most of the extrapulmonary conditions associated with CF compared to the general population. Specifically, it is hypothesized that this pilot data will detect subclinical evidence of pancreatic and kidney disorders among CF carriers. This will be determined by bringing CF carriers and controls to the CRU for one visit where they will answer survey questions and undergo laboratory testing. Additionally, they will collect urine and stool samples at home that will be sent to outside laboratories for testing.

Activation of Biobank Registry for Bilio-pancreatic Diseases

The purpose of establishing the biobank is to create a collection of biological material and clinical data, with a prospective and retrospective mold, in order to investigate the role of genetic predisposition in multifactorial bilio-pancreatic diseases, so that an evaluation of the possible association in the pathogenesis of exogenous factors with endogenous factors can be allowed. Multifactorial diseases are in fact an expression of genetic predisposition upon which one or more environmental stimuli act. Usually the aforementioned factors are not capable individually of triggering disease but, when simultaneously present, can cause the pathological phenotype. Therefore, it becomes important in the description of disease pathogenesis to identify as many risk factors for disease prevention and early diagnosis.

Endoscopic Ultrasound-guided Fine-needle Aspiration of Solid Pancreatic Lesions With Rapid Staining of Cytological Smears Followed by Whole Slide Scanning and Artificial Intelligence Diagnosis: A Prospective, Multicenter Study.

The objective of this observational study is to investigate whether the self-developed whole slide scanning and artificial intelligence diagnostic system for pancreatic solid lesion puncture cytopathology (hereinafter referred to as the "Zhiying Shunxi" ROSE-AI diagnostic system) can promptly and accurately diagnose solid pancreatic lesions (SPLs). The main question it aims to answer is: By utilizing optical imaging technology to capture RGB images of Diff-Quik stained smears from pancreatic punctures, can the development of artificial intelligence algorithms assist in differentiating solid pancreatic space-occupying diseases (such as pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, and non-neoplastic benign lesions)? Researchers will compare the diagnoses of SPLs made by the ROSE-AI system with the actual pathological diagnoses of the SPLs themselves to determine whether the ROSE-AI system can effectively diagnose SPLs.

Clinical Research on a Novel Deep-learning Based System in Pancreatic Endoscopic Ultrasound Scanning

The goal of this clinical trial is to develop and verify the auxiliary role of the artificial intelligence system in pancreatic ultrasound endoscopic scanning. The main questions it aims to answer are as follows: 1.The comparison of the image recognition accuracy between the artificial intelligence system and the ultrasound endoscopist; 2. Whether the artificial intelligence system can improve the efficiency of the pancreatic scanning for the ultrasound endoscopist. Participants will undergo pancreatic EUS with or without the assistance of the artificial intelligence system.

Assessing Pancreatic Fistula Rates After Distal Pancreatectomy Using AEON Endostapler

This prospective, observational study evaluates the rate of postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) following distal pancreatectomy (DP) using the AEON™ Endostapler. The study involves 110 patients undergoing DP and assesses primary outcomes based on the International Study Group of Pancreatic Fistula (ISGPF) classification, alongside secondary perioperative parameters. The findings aim to optimize surgical techniques, reduce complications, and improve healthcare outcomes.

Retrospective Study on Microbial Diversity in Paraffin Tissue of Pancreatic Diseases

The great harm of pancreatic diseases and the unknown etiology and pathogenesis make it difficult to intervene in most early cases in time. Previous studies by scholars and applicants at home and abroad have shown that the microflora in pancreatic tissue is closely related to chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer. However, the research on the mechanism of microbial diversity in pancreatic tissue and the occurrence and development of various pancreatic diseases has not been reported. Based on the previous research, this subject continues to take various pancreatic diseases as the research object based on the database of pancreatic center and pathology department of Ruijin Hospital Affiliated to Medical College of Shanghai Jiaotong University, To explore the characteristics of microbial flora in pancreas in different pancreatic diseases and its mechanism of influence on disease microenvironment. Select specific microbial flora or targets in the pancreas for various pancreatic diseases, so as to provide new theoretical basis and practical guidance for the early diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic diseases.
