Evaluating The Use of CGF Plugs in Fresh Odontectomy Socket.

This study evaluates the use of Concentrated Growth Factor (CGF) plugs-a third-generation healing material made from the patient's own blood-to improve recovery after simple tooth extractions. CGF contains a dense matrix of growth factors and regenerative cells designed to enhance wound healing and tissue regeneration. Participants requiring a single, non-surgical tooth extraction will have a CGF plug placed into the empty socket immediately following the procedure. The researchers will then monitor two main factors: * Post-operative Pain: Patients will record their pain levels on a scale of 0 to 10 at 1, 3, and 7 days after the extraction. * Bone Density: Using specialized imaging (CBCT), the researchers will measure how well the bone heals and fills the socket immediately after the procedure and again at 3 months. The goal of this research is to determine if CGF plugs can effectively reduce patient discomfort and help preserve bone density, which is critical for future dental treatments like implants.

Comparative Evaluation of Clinical and Radiographic Treatment Outcomes of Garlic Gel and Calcium Hydroxide as an Intracanal Medicament in Nonsurgical Root Canal Treatment of Permanent Teeth.

Researchers want to check how well garlic works inside permanent teeth as a medicament during root canal treatments. Garlic has shown to possess many helpful properties, like reducing inflammation, helping wounds heal, and antimicrobial characteristics. Because conventional medicaments can be expensive or have potential side effects, researchers are actively exploring natural options like garlic. Some lab studies have already shown that garlic gel can kill the microbes inside the teeth. However, no real-life clinical or X-ray studies have been done on using garlic in permanent teeth. This study may help scientists find a much safer and effective new material for dental treatments in the future.

Antimicrobial and Anti-inflammatory Effects of Simvastatin as an Intracanal Medication

Successful endodontic treatment and a predictable outcome can only be achieved by effective root canal debridement, irrigation, and elimination of microorganisms . The outcome of endodontic treatment performed in controlled clinical environment has demonstrated success rate around 90%. In certain cases, endodontic treatment may fail, one of the most common reasons is inability to eliminate microorganisms from the root canal. When non-surgical root canal therapy fails, the treatment options include orthograde re-treatment, periradicular surgery, or extraction. Simvastatin (SIM) is a drug used primarily to treat hyperlipidemia and protect against cardiovascular diseases. It has been shown to possess pleiotropic effects such as antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, antioxidant, and bone-forming properties . The side chain of this material has a single methyl group. It inhibits hydroxymethyl glutarylcoenzyme reductase that prevents endogenous cholesterol synthesis
