Balance4Mobility: Effects of Walkasins Use in Individuals With Peripheral Neuropathy and Balance Problems

The goal of this clinical trial is to is to test whether Walkasins can help people with peripheral neuropathy maintain their balance better. The main question it aims to answer is whether participants who use Walkasins on an everyday basis over a six-month period will report better awareness of their foot placement on the ground. Researchers will compare Walkasins users to a control group of participants who are not using Walkasins to see if the device improves the users' performance on some standing and walking tests. Control group participants will get Walkasins after six months of being in the study. During the study participants will be asked to do the following: * Answer questions about their medical history and balance. * Do some standing and walking tests. Some of the tests will be timed. * Attend study visits and participate in study phone calls. * Keep track of any falls and notify study staff if they fall. * Wear the Walkasins device on a regular basis.

Study on the Efficacy and Safety of Mecobalamin in Preventing Taxane-related Peripheral Neuropathy

Some patients receiving taxane-based chemotherapy experience numbness, tingling, or pain in their hands and feet, known as chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). This study aims to find out whether oral mecobalamin can prevent or reduce CIPN. Participants will be assigned to take mecobalamin or to receive no routine mecobalamin prevention during chemotherapy, and outcomes will be compared between groups.

Compression Therapy of Hands and Feet for the Prevention of Taxane- or Oxaliplatin-induced Peripheral Neuropathy

Population Cohort 1 Taxane: Breast cancer patients; (neo-)adjuvant treatment Cohort 2 Oxaliplatin: Colorectal cancer patients; (neo-)adjuvant treatment Study design Multicentre, unblinded randomised controlled study Study rationale Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy is a dose-limiting side effect during treatment and cause persistent impairment and worsening of quality of life in cancer survivors. Compression therapy could be a plausible preventive intervention, although practice changing studies are lacking. Aims To investigate if compression therapy of the hands and feet can reduce the prevalence of both acute and persistent CIPN symptoms caused by taxanes or oxaliplatin. Furthermore, to investigate if compression therapy impact the level of taxane or oxaliplatin dose reductions. Effectiveness of a Therapeutic Exercise Program With Specific Upper Limb Exercises to Reduce Lymphedema and Neuropathy in Breast Cancer Patients: A Pre-post Study (LYNMA)

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a therapeutic exercise program designed specifically for women with breast cancer. The program includes general exercises along with specific movements for the upper limb to help reduce common side effects of cancer treatment such as lymphedema (swelling of the arm) and neuropathy (nerve pain or numbness). Participants will undergo the exercise program and be assessed before and after to determine improvements in their symptoms and overall quality of life. The goal is to provide evidence that targeted physical therapy can improve recovery and well-being in breast cancer survivors.

The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of peripheral neuropathy on fall risk and quality of life in people who had cancer and neuropathy from cancer treatments. The investigators are interested to find out if the participant have any difficulty with thinking, feeling, balancing, or moving around that will contribute to risk for falls or quality of life. Investigators are also interested to see if the participants have any difficulty with doing two activities at the same time, such as walking and texting.

The Effect of Cryocompression on Peripheral Neuropathy in Patients Receiving Chemotherapy for Gynecological Cancer

Study Design: This study is designed as a prospective, randomized controlled experimental study aiming to determine the effect of cryocompression therapy, applied during chemotherapy, on peripheral neuropathy symptoms in women with gynecologic cancers. Research Hypotheses: * H₀: Cryocompression therapy has no effect on peripheral neuropathy. * H₁: Cryocompression therapy has an effect on peripheral neuropathy. Study Population: The study population will consist of women over the age of 18 living in Mersin, Türkiye, who are diagnosed with gynecologic cancer and undergoing chemotherapy between August 10 and December 31, 2025.

Botulinum Toxin A for the Treatment of Chemotherapy Induced Peripheral Neuropathy

Chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) is a common side effect of taxanes and platinum derivative based chemotherapeutic agents, common in breast cancer treatment regimens. It can have a significant effect on both quality of life and treatment outcomes, often resulting in dose modifications and early treatment discontinuation. The use of IncobotulinumtoxinA (INA) ((Xeomin®, Merz) has recently been shown to be effective in the treatment of neuropathic pain via inhibiting the release of several neurotransmitters involved in pain signaling pathway. The purpose of this study is to examine the efficacy and safety of intradermal INA injections for treatment of CIPN in breast cancer patients. The study will recruit a total of 40 participants, randomly assigned to receive either INA (Experimental group, n=20) or saline placebo injections (Control group n=20). Potential participants who have received chemotherapy for breast cancer will be screened for the diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy. After obtaining informed consent, participants will be further screened with the DN4 questionnaire, a clinician administered questionnaire that has a high level of sensitivity and specificity in discriminating neuropathic pain. Those study participants who score ≥4 on this tool will undergo nerve conduction studies to confirm the presence of peripheral neuropathy. Recruited study participants will then be randomized to treatment or control groups; the treatment group will undergo intradermal injections of INA (100 Units INA, total volume 5ml), and the control groups will undergo placebo injection with preservative-free normal saline (equal volume, 5mL). Total injection volume will be divided evenly and injected intradermally into a total of 50 sites on either the feet or hands (25 sites per limb). The primary outcome will be the assessment of pain using the neuropathic pain scale (NPS) prior to intervention and at eight weeks post intervention. Secondary outcomes will include the change in NPS for each domain at additional time points: 2weeks, 4 weeks, 12 weeks, 6 months, the change in the Neuropathic Pain Impact on Quality of Life (NePIQoL) score at time points: 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 6 months, and the incidence of treatment related adverse events within each cohort. Statistical analysis will be utilized to determine whether the injection of intradermal INA is effective in improving pain as measured by the NPS scales vs placebo. We hypothesize that the study participants treated with INA will have lower NPS scores as compared to placebo.
