Effect of HFNC on Incidence of Hypoxia During Sedated Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in Critical Patients

High flow nasal cannula oxygenation (HFNC) offers high flow and concentration oxygen delivery, providing excellent non-respiratory oxygenation. As a relatively new oxygen delivery method, it has gained widespread use. We have demonstrated that high flow nasal cannula oxygenation reduce the incidence of hypoxia during sedated gastrointestinal endoscopy in patients with American Anesthesiologist Rating (ASA rating) grades 1 to 2 and obesity. We hypothesized that HFNC could mitigate the risk of hypoxia in critical patients during sedated gastrointestinal endoscopy. To confirm this, we selected critical patients with ASA grades 3 to 4 who were scheduled for gastrointestinal endoscopy. We observed and compared the incidence of hypoxia (75%≤SpO2 \< 90% and \< 60S), severe hypoxia (SpO2\<75% for any duration or 75%≤SpO2 \< 90%, ≥60s), subclinical respiratory depression (90%≤SpO2 \< 95%), respiratory-related adverse events, sedation-related adverse events, and complications associated with high flow nasal cannula oxygenation using HFNC or regular nasal cannula during the sedated gastrointestinal endoscopy.

Early DiAgnosis Real-Time Healthcare System for CANcer Trial

The purpose of the study is to assess whether the AI characterisation system of the CADDIE device improves the endoscopists accuracy in the optical diagnosis of diminutive colorectal polyps in the bowel during colonoscopy. Participants will either have a colonoscopy with the assistance of the CADDIE device characterisation AI system ("intervention group") or have a colonoscopy in line with routine clinical practice i.e., without the CADDIE device characterisation AI system ("control group"). The randomisation method of this trial will allocate enrolled participants to the "intervention" group and to the "control" group by a technique similar to flipping a coin.

Efficacy and Safety Research of Cold Snare Polypectomy and Hot Snare Polypectomy in the Treatment of 4-9 mm Diameter Colorectal 0-Isp and 0-Ip Polyps: a Prospective, Multicenter, Randomized Controlled Study(FAST -REST Study)

This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of cold snare polypectomy(CSP) and hot snare polypectomy(HSP) in the treatment of colorectal 4-9mm 0-Isp and 0-Ip polyps, and compare the complete resection rate, postoperative late bleeding rate, intraoperative bleeding rate, en bloc resection rate, operation time and the number of metal clips used. The conclusion of this study will help clinical doctor develop more effective resection strategies for colorectal 0-Isp and 0-Ip polyps, and provide more effective treatment for patients.
