The Effects of Weight Shift Training on the Symmetry of Upper Extremity Weight Bearing in the Prone Position in Infants With Congenital Muscular Torticollis

Congenital muscular torticollis(CMT) is a common musculoskeletal condition in infancy that may result in asymmetrical posture and weight-bearing patterns, limited cervical range of motion, and delayed motor development. This randomized controlled trial aims to investigate the effects of weight shift training on upper extremity weight-bearing symmetry in infants with CMT. A total of 30 infants aged 6 to 12 months diagnosed with CMT will be randomly assigned to either an experimental group(n = 15) or a control group(n = 15). The experimental group will receive weight shift training in prone and sitting positions in addition to stretching exercises, while the control group will receive stretching exercises only. Both groups will participate in 30-minute intervention sessions three times per week for eight weeks. The primary outcome is upper extremity weight-bearing symmetry, which will be assessed using the Balancia software system. Secondary outcomes include motor development assessed by the Alberta Infant Motor Scale(AIMS), head tilt angle, and passive cervical rotation range of motion. The findings of this study may provide evidence regarding the effectiveness of weight shift training in improving postural symmetry and motor function in infants with congenital muscular torticollis.

Survey-Based Study on Recovery Period Differences in Upper Extremity Injuries Among Indoor Climbers by Treatment Method

This study aims to investigate the differences in recovery periods of upper extremity injuries among indoor climbers according to their treatment methods. The research focuses on comparing the recovery duration, specifically the time to return to climbing, between those who received professional physical therapy and those who relied on self-treatment or other conservative management. Additionally, this survey-based observational study seeks to explore how individual and training-related factors - such as warm-up duration, climbing frequency, and years of experience - affect the occurrence and recurrence of upper extremity injuries. Participants will complete an online questionnaire consisting of demographic data, climbing habits, injury characteristics, treatment methods, and recovery outcomes. The data will be collected anonymously and analyzed to determine whether the type of treatment correlates with faster recovery or reduced reinjury risk. The findings are expected to provide foundational evidence for developing effective rehabilitation and injury-prevention strategies for indoor climbers, and to guide clinicians and trainers in selecting appropriate treatment approaches for upper extremity injuries.

The Effects of Stroboscopic Visual Conditions on Gait and Lower Limb Muscle Activity in Individuals With Chronic Ankle Instability

This interventional study will investigate the effects of stroboscopic visual conditions on gait patterns and lower limb muscle activation in adults with chronic ankle instability (CAI). CAI often results in impaired sensorimotor control, leading to altered gait strategies such as slower walking speed, shorter step length, and increased visual reliance. Stroboscopic glasses intermittently restrict visual input, potentially reducing visual dependence and enhancing proprioceptive feedback. Participants will complete walking trials under three randomized visual conditions: high-frequency stroboscopic, low-frequency stroboscopic, and no-glasses control. Gait parameters will be measured using the GAITRite system, and surface electromyography (sEMG) will record activation of the tibialis anterior, peroneus longus, and gastrocnemius muscles. Findings may provide insight into sensorimotor adaptation mechanisms and inform rehabilitation strategies to improve functional stability in individuals with CAI.

Robot-Assisted Gait Training With Self-Observation in Stroke Rehabilitation

The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of robot-assisted gait training Concurrent with self-observation training on balance, gait, and cognitive function in stroke participants. The main question it aims to answer is: Does robot-assisted gait training combined with self-observation improve balance abilities in stroke participants? Participants will be Group 1 Perform robot-assisted gait training combined with self-observation five times a week for four weeks. Group 2 Perform robot-assisted gait training five times a week for four weeks. All groups perform for 30 minutes per session.
