Transcutaneous Electrical Acupoint Stimulation for Perioperative Sleep Disturbances in Cancer Patients

Postoperative sleep disturbance (POSD) is highly prevalent among cancer patients after tumor resection, affecting 43%-80% of perioperative individuals. Poor sleep aggravates postoperative pain, anxiety and adverse cardiovascular events, hindering postoperative recovery. Conventional hypnotic medicines carry potential risks of drug dependence and respiratory depression. Transcutaneous Electrical Acupoint Stimulation (TEAS) is a non-invasive physical therapy derived from traditional acupuncture, which delivers low-frequency electrical stimulation on acupoints. Previous small-scale researches suggest TEAS may improve perioperative sleep, but high-quality randomized controlled trial evidence for cancer surgical patients is insufficient. This single-center randomized sham-controlled trial aims to verify whether perioperative TEAS at Shenmen (HT7), Neiguan (PC6) and Hegu (LI4) can improve postoperative sleep quality, relieve surgical pain and regulate stress hormone level. A total of 176 eligible patients aged 18-75 years undergoing elective gastrointestinal or gynecologic cancer resection under general anesthesia will be enrolled and randomly divided into 1:1 intervention group and sham control group. The TEAS group receives acupoint electrical stimulation from pre-anesthesia to the end of surgery, while control group uses identical electrodes without actual electrical output. All subjects receive standardized anesthesia and routine postoperative analgesia. Researchers evaluate primary outcomes including PSQI and AIS sleep scales, alongside secondary indicators such as VAS pain score, QoR-15 and serum cortisol at postoperative Day1, Day3, Day7 and postoperative 30-day follow-up.

Ultrasound Assessment of Sciatic Nerve and Inferior Gluteal Artery in Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy(DPN): Association With a Target Gene

Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) is a common and serious complication of diabetes that causes numbness, pain, and weakness, often starting in the feet. Currently, there is no cure, and early diagnosis is difficult with standard tests alone. This observational study aims to find better ways to detect DPN in its early stages. The researchers will use high-frequency ultrasound, a painless and non-invasive imaging tool, to measure two things in patients with type 2 diabetes: the cross-sectional area of the sciatic nerve (to look for swelling) and the blood flow velocity in the inferior gluteal artery (a vessel that supplies the nerve). In parallel, a bioinformatics analysis has identified a key target gene, Matrix Metalloproteinase 9(MMP9), which may play a role in nerve damage through a specific signaling pathway. The level of this protein will be measured in the patients' blood. A total of 120 participants will be grouped by the severity of their nerve damage, assessed by Toronto Clinical Scoring System (TCSS). The study will investigate whether the ultrasound measurements correlate with the clinical scores, nerve conduction studies, and the blood levels of the target protein. The ultimate goal is to combine these ultrasound structure, blood flow function, and molecular markers to build a more accurate tool for the early diagnosis and precise management of DPN, bridging the gap from early warning to mechanism-based care.

Relationship Between Remimazolam and Etomidate in Induction of General Anesthesia

In modern anesthesia practice, anesthesiologists often need to choose a combination of multiple drugs according to the specific conditions and surgical needs of patients, which can not only achieve more fine anesthesia management, but also improve perioperative safety and patient comfort. In clinical practice, anesthesiologists will use etomidate combined with a small dose of remimazolam for anesthesia induction to obtain more stable hemodynamics, prevent intraoperative awareness, and relieve anxiety. However, what is the best dose ratio of etomidate combined with remimazolam, the current literature does not give clear indicators.

Analysis of Factors Associated With The Occurrence of Amniotic Fluid Entry in Patients Undergoing Caesarean Section

To compare serum STN (Neuraminic acid-N-acetylgalactose)antigen concentrations in patients undergoing cesarean section and to study the factors associated with amniotic fluid entry.Compare the serum complement C4 concentration in patients in the amniotic fluid admission group with those in the non-admission group to study whether amniotic fluid admission triggers the body's immune response. To record the patients' blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen, and the occurrence of related symptoms and adverse reactions at the time of admission, at the time of blood collection, at the time of discharge from the room, and at the time of the occurrence of haemodynamic changes.

The Mechanism of Endogenous Nociceptin/Orphanin FQ(N/OFQ) and β1-adrenoceptor Autoantibody in Promoting Ischemic Arrhythmia in Rats

In the early stage of ischemic arrhythmia, endogenous N/OFQ regulates the expression of β 1-AA, mediates the internalization of β 1-AR by PKC/ERK1/2, and thus affects the occurrence of arrhythmia. Further clarify the regulatory mechanism of N/OFQ on β 1-AR internalization and arrhythmia, providing experimental basis for drug development and target exploration of clinical ischemic arrhythmia; To observe the relationship between endogenous N/OFQ and β 1-AA in serum of patients with coronary heart disease and diabetes.

Nintedanib for the Prevention of Radiation Pneumonia in Unresectable NSCLC

This study is aimed at patients with unresectable NSCLC who take nintedanib during sequential radiotherapy to explore the incidence of radiation pneumonitis above grade 2 in the nintedanib combined with radiotherapy mode and observe safety. And will further explore the progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) of patients treated with nintedanib in combination with radiotherapy and immunotherapy. Primary objective: To evaluate the safety of nintedanib combined with sequential radiotherapy in patients with unresectable NSCLC and the incidence of radiation pneumonitis above grade 2. Secondary objective: To evaluate the changes in lung function, progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) in patients with unresectable NSCLC after nintedanib combined with sequential radiotherapy. Patients need to receive induction therapy, chemotherapy and/or immunotherapy for at least one cycle. Then they will receive sequential radiotherapy and nintedanib for 6 months. Finally, they will receive immunotherapy maintenance therapy for 16 cycles.

Relationship Between Serum N/OFQ and Acute Myeloid Cell Leukemia

Patients diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University were selected and divided into the newly diagnosed group, the relapsed group, the complete remission group as the experimental group, and the healthy physical examination subjects as the control group. The relationship between IL-1β, catecholamine and norkephalin in peripheral blood of the experimental group and the control group was observed. According to the literature, the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group. In the experimental group, the newly diagnosed group was higher than the relapse group, and the relapse group was higher than the complete remission group, and the correlation was positive, and the difference was statistically significant.
