IMPACT OF DIALYSIS DURATION AND DIURESIS ON BLADDER CAPACITY AND COMPLIANCE IN END STAGE RENAL DISEASE PATIENTS AWAITING RENAL TRANSPLANT

Patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) who are on dialysis for a long time may experience bladder problems as their urine output decreases and normal bladder filling is lacking. As a result, bladder capacity may be reduced and compliance may deteriorate, which can impact the success of kidney transplantation. Our prospective observational study is designed to investigate how dialysis duration and residual urine output (diuresis) influence bladder capacity and compliance in ESRD patients who are waiting for kidney transplantation. The adult patients undergoing regular dialysis will be assessed clinically, and they will also be subjected to laboratory tests, imaging, and urodynamic studies. Through this study, we aim to determine the frequency of bladder malfunction and its correlation with the length of dialysis and the amount of urine excretion. The results might enhance the pre-transplant workup and offer a basis for urological post-transplantation management that could minimize complications.

Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery Versus Extracorporeal Shockwave Lithotripsy

The study's aim is to determine which treatment modality, either ESWL or RIRS, is more effective in achieving stone clearance for lower calyceal calculi. Investigators hypothesize that retrograde intrarenal surgery is better as compared to extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy. It will target those patients suffering from kidney stones in lower calyces with sizes up to 1.5 cm in an open-label, randomized controlled trial.

Single Versus Double Drains in the Axillary and Pectoral Regions After Modified Radical Mastectomy

Normally, after this surgery, skin is stitched in the usual simple way, with no quilting, and two drains are put in to remove serosa, one under the arm and one on the chest. In this study, the investigator will use a different type of stitch called a quilting stitch, which helps stick the skin to the chest muscle so there is less serosa collection. The investigator will compare two groups: * Group A: Quilting stitches with two drains (one under the arm and one on the chest). * Group B: Quilting stitches with one drain only (under the arm).

Difficult Airway Prediction by Integrating STOP-BANG Criteria

This study is being done to determine the diagnostic accuracy of the STOP-BANG questionnaire in predicting difficult mask ventilation and intubation among obese patients. During the preoperative assessment, eligible participants will be enrolled in the study. The modified Mallampati score, thyromental distance, mouth opening, and upper lip bite tests will be performed along with STOP-Bang scores. Later in the operating room, general anesthesia will be given, and bag-mask ventilation and intubation grade will be assessed and recorded. A correlation will be assessed between the difficult airway assessment findings, along with the STOP-BANG score and the bas-mask difficulty scores and intubation grades.
