Different Pressure Tissue Flossing Combined With Exercise for Chronic Ankle Instability

This study will evaluate whether tissue flossing with different pressure levels, when combined with exercise training, improves ankle function in young adults with chronic ankle instability. Forty-eight participants will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: a control exercise group, a 150 mmHg tissue flossing plus exercise group, or a 200 mmHg tissue flossing plus exercise group. All groups will complete the same 6-week rehabilitation program, three times per week. Outcomes will be assessed at baseline and after the intervention, and long-term follow-up data will also be collected.

Cessation on Internet Addiction in College Students

This study aimed to explore the intervention effect of Tai Chi exercise on internet addiction in college students and its maintenance effect after cessation, providing a scientific basis for the application of Tai Chi in internet addiction intervention among college students. Fifty-one non-sports-major college students with mild or moderate internet addiction were randomly divided into a Tai Chi group (n = 23) and a control group (n = 24). The Tai Chi group underwent 12 weeks of Tai Chi exercise, while the control group maintained their regular study schedule without additional physical exercise. The Chinese Internet Addiction Scale and serum dopamine and β-Endorphin levels were assessed at baseline, week 12, and week 16.

Athlete Biochemical Monitoring and Nutritional Support

The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of physiological and biochemical monitoring along with nutritional support in improving the performance and well-being of female weightlifters during the critical weight reduction phase before competition. It also seeks to determine the safety and potential benefits of the personalized nutritional interventions. The primary questions this study aims to address are: Does personalized nutritional support, informed by physiological and biochemical monitoring, reduce the incidence of fatigue and improve sleep quality in female weightlifters during the pre-competition period? How do serum indicators change in response to the nutritional interventions, and what does this indicate about the athletes' health and performance? What are the perceived benefits and any potential adverse effects reported by the participants receiving the nutritional support? To assess the impact of the intervention, researchers will compare the outcomes of the experimental group, which receives the tailored nutritional support, to those of the control group, which follows standard practices without additional intervention. Participants will be required to: Consume the nutritional supplements or maintain their regular diet as assigned for the duration of the 1-month study. Attend scheduled visits to the research facility every two weeks for comprehensive health assessments, including blood tests for serum indicators and evaluations of fatigue levels and PSQI scores. Record their daily experiences, including dietary adherence, training intensity, perceived fatigue, sleep patterns, and any other relevant observations in a personal diary. By conducting this randomized controlled trial, the study will provide valuable insights into the role of targeted nutritional support in enhancing athletic performance and overall health during the demanding pre-competition weight reduction period.

Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness of Athletes

Study Design: This study was approved by the Human Experiment Ethics Committee of Chengdu Sport University (No: 2103). Based on previous research data, G-power software was used to calculate that at least 40 samples were needed. Participants: A total of 45 track and field athletes from Sichuan Province, China, were recruited during the off-season in 2024. They were randomly assigned to the vibration group, kinesio taping group, combined group, and control group. All participants signed informed consent forms and adhered to the Declaration of Helsinki. DOMS Modeling: Following previous research, a delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) model for athletes\' knee joints was established through downhill running. Detailed oxygen uptake tests were conducted on all participants one week before DOMS modeling, and records were made one week after DOMS modeling. Intervention Measures: The vibration group received vibration training immediately after DOMS modeling. The kinesio taping group had Y-shaped kinesio taping applied 30 minutes before DOMS modeling. The combined group received both vibration training and kinesio taping simultaneously. Assessment Methods: The degree of pain at the DOMS site for participants was evaluated using a Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). The concentration of creatine kinase (CK) in the serum of participants was detected using an RT-9600 automatic biochemical analyzer, and serum interleukin-6 (IL-6) was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). An IsoMed 2000 isokinetic tester was used to perform a 60°/s extension test on the participants\' knees. Data Collection: VAS scores, serum CK and IL-6 levels, and peak torque of knee extension were collected at different time points before and after DOMS modeling.
