High Frequency RF Current Effects on Muscle Pain and Function

The purpose of this study is to examine the acute and chronic effects of high frequency electrical current transfer (frequently called "TECAR") on pain and functional movement in individuals with a musculoskeletal injury or pain. The participants will be assigned into an experimental or a control group and outcome measures will be measured prior to, after, 24 and 48 hours following a single intervention session (Acute effects) as well as 3 and 6 months after the intervention (chronic effects).

Chitosan Phonophoresis With Recurrent Hamstring Strain in Athletes

The purpose of this randomized controlled trial is to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of adding chitosan phonophoresis as an adjunct to a rehabilitation-based exercise program compared to a rehabilitation-based exercise program with sham chitosan phonophoresis in athletes with recurrent hamstring strain injuries on the following outcomes: Hamstring-specific pain and function, Muscle strength and endurance, Lower extremity functions, Hamstring Flexibility symmetry and Hamstring injury healing score.

The Effect of Capacitive and Resistive Electrical Transfer Therapy on Hamstring Injuries

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the effects of capacitive resistive electric transference (CRET), which is frequently used in clinics and sports clubs for professional soccer players with hamstring injuries. The main questions it aims to answer are: Return to sports time Treatments sessions number Muscle oxygen saturation The investigators will administer the treatment to a experimental group to see if CRET therapy is effective. The investigators will also administer a standard rehabilitation program to both the control and experimental groups. Participants will: Come for treatment and evaluations 3 times a week until participants meet the criteria for returning to sports.

Myofascial Release Combined With FIFA 11+: Effects on Hamstring Flexibility and Injury Risk

Football is a physically demanding sport that involves frequent jumping, cutting, and sudden changes in direction, making players vulnerable to various musculoskeletal injuries especially around the knee(1, 2). If not properly addressed, such mechanical demands can place excessive stress on key structures like the Hamstring, ACL and MCL, increasing the risk of injury during high-impact movement(1). Hamstring strains are one of the most common injuries among football players, with significant impact on their performance and career longevity(1). These injuries are especially prevalent due to the high-intensity nature of football, involving rapid sprinting, cutting, and changes of direction. Studies have shown that hamstring strains account for a substantial proportion of all injuries in football, ranging from 12% to 20% of total injuries in professional and amateur levels. Given the high rate of recurrence and the long recovery times associated with hamstring injuries, there has been growing interest in injury prevention programs aimed at reducing the risk of these injuries. Many of these injuries stem from deficits in dynamic balance, inadequate landing strategies, and reduced strength in the lower limbs(3). When such deficits persist, they increase biomechanical load on the knee joint, raising the likelihood of ligament injuries during explosive actions(4). By addressing these movement impairments, programs like FIFA 11+ aim to improve neuromuscular coordination and reduce injury rates among football players

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in HAMstring Injury (HOTHAM) Trial

The goal of this study is to learn if Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is able to accelerate and improve muscle healing following an acute hamstring injury. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Does Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy accelerates the time needed to return to play/-duty following hamstring injury. 2. Does Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy decrease the amount of reinjuries within 1 year following Return to play/-duty? Besides these questions this study will clinically and radiologically evaluate the healing process over time as well as the occurrence of (serious) adverse events.
